"That was refreshing," I woke up after a long night. My magic energy was all back and I was ready to go home.

"You are the new biggest thing in Fiore!" Mira held a newspaper to my face. I took it to get a closer look.

"Hot and unstoppable," I read the head title out loud. It continue on about how everyone in Fiore stopped to listen to voice booming around them. The ground shook for about nine minutes before everything stopped and it was silent. "I didn't even know I was that powerful!"

"I wonder what the others thought when they heard your voice all the way over there," Mira giggled.

"I hope it scared hot head and ice face so they stop wanting to compete with me."

"Oh trust me, they never stop. This will only make them want to beat you more," Laxus scratched the back of his head.

"Ugh.. Well, I'm ready to go back. Those guys may be annoying, but they are also entertaining."

"Thank you so much, miss. It's an honor to meet someone like you," the leader of the village said on our way out.

"No problem, I hope you are ok that the island isn't there anymore.."

"No one ever went on it anyway."

We waved goodbye and got onto a train. "I still can't believe someone could have so much power. It just amazes me," Bickslow said.

"Well, when you have the motivation and need to be powerful, it will come to you," I smiled.

"What was your motivation?" Mira questioned. 'You still need to be careful with what you say, I don't know if they are still doing this for master or not.'

"I had an encounter with someone who possessed magic, and I wanted to become strong like them. I have met so many wizards in my lifetime, I can't remember who exactly he was, but I know it was him."

"Oh, that's so sweet!"

'Hmm, maybe I should give hot head more credit. I mean, I wouldn't be here if I hadn't met him. But was it worth it to lose mom? No, that is unforgivable.'

We boarded off the train and walked to the guild. 'I wonder if everyone is going to be intimidated by me now, I hope that isn't the case..'

Everyone was silent when we walked in. I got horrified stairs, as if they were waiting for me to bring the place down.

"Uhh, hi," I said, waving. Still, no one moved a muscle. "I guess I ruined it.. Thanks guys for taking me with you, but I think I should leave.." I started, turning to Mira.

"Lucy, you did amazing!" Natsu ran up to me. I flinched, about to kick him in the stomach, but stopped myself. He realized what was happening and was about to back away, remembering the last time he came close to me. 'You can let your guard down, just this once.'

I put my hand up," thanks, Natsu." He smiled and gave me a high five. As soon as our hands touched, everyone went ballistic, cheering for us.

"Can't wait until I have a crack against your magic," Natsu said.

"You aren't fazed by what you heard? The island is no longer a thing you know.."

"I just want to give it a shot, and I don't want that 'easy' crap." For some reason, now he didn't seem like the kid who burned an island to ash, he seemed like the kid who was positive about everything.

'You idiot, it could all be an act. If he's acting, then I can too. I'll just have to keep being nice to him to get close to him. I'm getting closer to my answer. But still, the blue haired guy is a mystery.'

"Earth to Lucy?" Gray was now standing with us, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Oh, yes?"

"Can you come with me for a moment?"

"Sure." He led me down to the library. There was one other person in there with us. "Master." Gray took me down to the table he sat at and stood behind me.

"Lucy, I must know what is going on here. I am not the only one who has noticed something weird," he referred to Gray.

"What's your point?" I took a seat in a chair across from him.

"Nothing about you adds up. Your hatred towards Natsu, even though you claim you haven't met him before, you freaking out at the mention of your mother but you won't tell us how she died. And I know you figured out that your job request was a set up to find answers. Who was this wizard you encountered, and how do you just choose to learn about being a celestial wizard? Nothing adds up."

I didn't speak. "If you are here to cause trouble, trust me. You will not live to see another day."

I was close to tears, I myself didn't exactly know what to think about all of this anymore. New variables have come into play, I don't know what to do anymore.

"I... Have my reasons to be acting off, but I promise you, once everything is clear to me again, I will tell you everything."

"That's not enough, how can we trust you?"

My head shot up. "If I ever cause you all any pain without good reason, I will personally kill myself. You don't have to believe me, but know that there is a bigger purpose for why I am here."

He sighed, "I will be keeping a sharp eye on you. Gray, speak of this to know one."

"Yes, master." I stood up and walked away from the table.

"I promise I won't do anything. Not now at least."
