Chapter 10

I put my hand in the water and watched the ripples form as we moved forward.

"Here we are," Laxus said as he landed us on the island. Everyone jumped out and we sized up the scenery in front of us.

"I think it would be a good idea to stick together, if we split up then there's a chance we could be over powered," Erza said, not knowing exactly what was in the forest.

"Yeah, and the thing will be easier to take out with all of us together," Mira agreed.

"Ok, let's go." We ran into the darkness of the woods. I dodged branches and bushes, it seemed like I was the fastest. It didn't take long to make it to the middle of the island. I skidded into the clearing and waited for the others to catch up.

"Lucy, look out!" Bickslow yelled, pointing behind me. I sensed movement coming my way fast and lunged into the air.

There he was. A shield went up, creating a dome around me and the beast. The others weren't quick enough to make it in. They pounded on the barrier and called my name.

"I got this," I turned away from them and made eye contact with the monster. Two more appeared at its sides, the same size as he. I gulped, 'I can do this. They are all counting on me.'

They made the first attack, charging at me and roaring. It felt like my eardrums were going to burst at the sound.

"Taurus!" I yelled out, pulling his key out. He mooed and got into battle position. "Now!"

He lunged at them swung his axe, brining them to the ground. It was silent as the the three creatures laid on the ground. The barrier didn't move and they got back up, seeming to not have taken any damage. "Try again, Taurus!" He did, but they got back up again.

"My attacks aren't doing anything, sorry miss Lucy."

"You did good, thank you," he returned. "Scorpio!"

"Wicked!" He used his attack, but the outcome was the same as Taurus's. I gritted my teeth. 'I will not let these things beat me.'

"Thank you, Scorpio." I turned to the wide eyed ground behind me. "You should run, I don't know how powerful this attack is, I'm trying it for the first time. Go!" They didn't budge. "Go!" I screamed and they ran back to the boat. I hope they get far enough away.

Grabbing all the zodiac keys, I clasped them between both my hands. I put them out in front of me.

"With all the zodiac keys combined.." A white aura formed around me. My voice could be heard for miles, it was so loud it shook the ground. "I ask you to lend me your power, SACRED ATTACK: ZODIAC SPECIAL!" I screeched, bringing my hands above my head. "AHHHHH" I roared, sending the attack at the three unfortunate souls.

The attack was too strong, and the whole island was engulfed with the white light. Then in a matter of seconds, it blew to pieces. I went flying into the air, holding tightly onto the keys. I couldn't tell how high up I was, but what I assumed to be the boat looked like a spec of dust from here.

As I began plummeting back down, I realized I had barely any more magic energy left and I probably wouldn't be able to call on one of my more powerful spirits. I quickly put my keys back in the pouch for safety and grabbed a silver one.

"Horologium!" I yelled. I was instantly incased in him and waited for the impact. With a loud splash, we sunk into the blue. "Thank you, I don't know if I would have been able to stay afloat after the impact of the water." He disappeared and I swam back to the surface. Guts and blood stained the water as well as my skin and clothes.

"Lucy!" I looked towards the sound. My team cheered and I smiled, swimming to the boat.

"That was incredible, I didn't even know that much power existed!" Laxus exclaimed.

"That's definitely a compliment coming from you," I laughed, I knew a little bit of background information on his magic.

"Didn't you say there was another key? You could still become more powerful??" Erza stared in awe.

"Yup yup."

"That was one of the easiest and quickest s-class requests I have ever been on," Laxus congratulated me again.

"Can we go back to the village? I kinda want to wash all these creature guts off me.."
