Chapter 6

"I don't like her," I gritted my teeth as I watched the pink haired mage dance around Jellal.

"She's just being like this to annoy you. Don't let her get under your skin," Natsu wrapped an arm around my shoulders as we sat around a camp fire.

"I know, but why is she here all of a sudden? And where did she freaking come from?! Has she been stalking us? Could she be working for the kingdom? For Fairy Tail? We should just kick her out, maybe tie her to a tree and run. If she comes up dead, we never knew her."

"Whoa, calm down. We aren't doing that. Let's just change the subject. What the hell happened back at the prison?"

"I don't know. Twice I tried to call my spirits but they didn't respond at all. And heh I wasn't being extremely cautious and ran into a few guards during the wrong time.."

"Which spirits did you call?"

"Leo and Virgo, two that I would never expect to just blow me off." I laid all my keys out.

"That's weird. Why don't you try calling another spirit now that things have settled down? Call the cow," he picked up Taurus' key.

"I guess. Taurus!" My voice got a little louder than intended and the ones asleep jumped, looking over. But of course, he didn't come.

"Wow, good job, Lucy. You really do live up to your name," Meredy snickered.

"Shut up, brat. You should worry more about yourself if you keep up this act. I'm not only a celestial wizard."

"If this is what you call being a celestial wizard, you can't be good in any other type of magic, don't flatter yourself."

My fingers curled into fists. "Piss off, if you don't like me so much you should just leave."

"What are you going to do if I don't? You are such a joke, you couldn't even make it as a fairy of all things." I jumped up and punched her square in the nose. A chorus of gasps came as she fell back on her butt.

"I told you to shut up!"

"Hey, Lucy!" Nastu grabbed my arms, pulling me back.

"Just move on and leave me alone," I was seething. She held her hand to her nose then brought it to her eyes. It looked crooked and misshaped, blood covered her palm.

"You broke my nose." Everyone was silent, watching her intently as the red liquid pooled on her upper lip. She suddenly lunged at me, her nails digging into my cheek and leaving a good sized slice. Jellal was up next, picking her up by the waist and dragging her away. "Screw you!"

"Right back at you," I felt Natsu place his hand gently on the scratch. "Ugh, I seriously hate her. So. Much."

"I know, Luce," he said, getting close to my ear and lowering his voice,"But you shouldn't act out like that. What if things got worse and you brought out one of your Satan Souls, or if you requipped or used maker-"

"It was an idiot move, I'm sorry."

"We need to work on controlling your anger." He sat down and pulled me into his lap.

"What are you doing?" I asked, squirming a little.

"Stop moving," he licked his thumb and slowly moved it over the cut, but it didn't stop bleeding. He sighed and took one end of his scarf, placing it against my face and adding a bit of pressure.

"Whoa," I yanked the cloth away, "don't use your scarf, it's special to you. I'll be ok."

"But you're special to me and I don't want you to lose anymore blood. Let me do this."

"Natsu.." I didn't stop him this time when he put the soft fabric against my wound. His thumb rubbed above where the fabric ended. I looked around and saw no one paying attention to us, then quickly pecked his nose,"thank you." His face was a deep red when I pulled back. "W-what," I stuttered, my own face beginning to heat up.

"Nothing, beautiful," he kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms around me, laying back so my head was on his chest. I could hear his fast heartbeat and it was actually pretty comforting. "Good night, Luce."

"Good night, Natsu."

The sun warmed my body the next morning. I let my eyes slowly flutter open. Natsu's arm was draped over my side, the other laying under me. My legs had somehow found their way entangled with his and my arms were wrapped around his upper body. I lifted my head to see him softly snoring. Quietly and carefully, I removed myself from him and stood up, stretching. Maybe we got a little too close last night..

"Morning, Lucy," Bickslow smiled when he turned around.

"Good morning," I walked over to where he sat with the rest of our team.

"I didn't know you and Natsu were a thing," Meredy giggled, Wendy sitting next to her and using her magic on her nose.

"Neither did I, oh that's because we aren't?" I took a seat in between Rouge and Gajeel.

"Well you guys were all over each other last night,"Gajeel elbowed me in the side.

"Shush your face," I slapped his arm. "He's just really good at comforting people."

"I can do that too," Sting whispered, staring at me.

"Mm pass, save it for Rouge."

"Oh no, I'll have to pass too," Rouge gagged jokingly.

"So what's our next move?" I looked over at Zeref and Gildarts for the first time today.

"Uhm, I think we are just going to chill here for awhile, we haven't been found yet and Zeref said he had some people he wanted to get a hold of," Gildarts drummed his fingers on his knee.

"Aye, sir," a familiar voice cheered behind me.

"OH NO," I screamed, turning around in time to get head butted by a blue fur ball.

"Lucy?" Natsu sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Happy?!"

"Natsuuuuu," he flew to the shocked male.

"Lucy, you are mine!" A flash of red startled me.

"Ice shield," I threw my hands into the form and watched as Erza smashed through the ice barrier. She roared as her sword swung at me.

"Now, babies!" Bickslow sent his 'babies' at her and one slammed into her side, throwing her off. "Up, now," he yanked me to my feet as everyone else scrambled away.

"Solid script!" Levy's voice came next.

"I'm sorry, Levy," I yelled as I sped at her and kicked her in the gut. She squeaked and fell to the ground.

"Now!" I was surrounded. Not just by Fairy Tail guild members, but also Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Sabertooth.

"Oh, crap."

"Lucy, stand down now and we won't hurt any of your 'team', and don't try to fight, we out number you and we have the Royal Guard on stand by," Makarov took a step forward.

What do I do, what do I do.. I've got to think fast. My head pounded and the world seemed to stop.
