'I can't believe I'm doing this. He's so close, I could just kill him instantly. No, you just joined Fairy Tail, don't ruin it. But.. Mom..'

"You are silent, what are you thinking about?" Gray looked back. We were currently on our way to the train station where we will begin the few hour ride to the place the job was requested.

"Eh. Nothing important," I answered, showing no emotions.

"I'm so excited to see what you can really do, and when I beat you in a fight!" Natsu cheered.

"You think you could ever beat me?" I questioned.

"I hope I can!"

"Good luck." We got on the train and found our seats. I sat next to Gray so I wouldn't be tempted to do anything.

The trip was long and horrible. The worst part is that fire breath gets motion sickness.. So that was fun. I rolled my eyes as he stumbled off the train.

"I.. Am never going on a train again.." He groaned.

"You said that the last time," Happy flew over him.

'Typical. He doesn't seem that strong. Wait before he was with a dragon.. Where is that said dragon now?'

We walked to the place and were greeted by a young lady. She showed us around and told us what was going on.

"A band of powerful thieves have been coming into our village and ransacking the place. They've even taken some of our people as hostages. It's awful."

"Don't worry, we will take care of them no problem," Gray assured her.

"Thank you so much," she told us where they have been spotted and we headed in that direction.

"What's the plan?" Happy asked.

"Beat them up. It should be pretty easy," Natsu replied. 'Of course he would just run into battle. He doesn't care who he hurts in the process..'

"Mm," Gray stared at me.

"What?"

"Nothing," he brushed it off and looked away. 'Has my cover been blown?'

"There," Natsu pointed. A group of men drank in a tent, a few people tied up behind them. We ran up and caught their attention.

"Look at the hottie! Wonder what we could make her do if we got her. Move aside," they charged at me.

"Lucy!" The guys yelled. I sighed and shook my head, why do men always leave themselves open? Just as one was about to grab me, I jumped up and forced myself down, shoving them to the ground.

"The girls crazy! Kill her!" I waited for them to approach, punching or kicking them if they came too close. They were all out in matter of seconds. I ran into the tent and untied the people.

"Pssh, I could have done that too," Natsu waved his hand at me. "I just really want to what type of wizard you really are. Please show us."

"I've only used magic when I was training to get stronger, and now I intend not to use it unless I absolutely have to. You should do the same," it felt like I was lecturing him.

"Screw that, you should show us off, Princess," Virgo appeared.

"Virgo! Why are you here?!"

"Who's that?" Happy pointed at her.

"I'm Lucy's celestial spirit, Virgo."

"I see, so you are a celestial wizard. Those are pretty rare," Gray rubbed his chin.

"I guess so, let's just go. Virgo, you can return home," I said a little frustrated.

"Princess, you can use us, you don't need to rely on your strength."

"I know," I clenched my fists and looked at the ground. I feel so weak having someone fight for me, sometimes I have to step in. She disappeared and we headed back to the village, the job easily done. They thanked us and we were on our way back to the hall.

'That was too easy.. Why did they choose this job?' I found Gray staring at me again. I felt so uneasy, he knows something or at least he thinks he does.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" I whispered, Natsu was too sick to really understand what was going on.

"There's something off about you. I don't know what it is but I know you keep thinking about something. What is it exactly?"

"It's nothing, I'm just really tired. We should sit in silence the rest of the way back." He gave me one last look before turning to the window.
