Chapter 53: Guzma and- OMG A JELLYFISH WOMAN!

(Megan POV)

As we walked deeper into the cave, Rose was lagging behind due to her observing literally everything in this place. I couldn't tell if she was fascinated, or just completely set on finding her Guzma. Either way she should probably hurry up, or she'll end up losing us.

The deeper we went, the thinner the air became which earned a few coughs from the group and me. But before we could take another step, a voice halted us: 'I've lived my whole life tryin' to make people scared of me,' It seemed to come from the set of rocks to the left of us. 'And I myself ain't ever been scared.' I looked up, to find Guzma perching on a rock as he glared down at us. The others saw where I was looking, and they looked there too. Guzma jumped down from his perch, as he continued to glare at us. 'But y'all are Stupid!'

'Wow... Rude...' I muttered, narrowing my eyes at the thug.

'You aren't that smart either, are you then?' Gladion scoffed, but before Guzma could spit out any more insults at us he was interrupted by a high pitched gasp from behind me.

Rose stood there, eyes wide and lips parted as she stared at Guzma. He stared back with a similar expression, only his eyebrows were furrowed. Then, without missing a heartbeat, Rose charged towards the male at full force.

'GUUUUUUUZMAAAAAA!' She shrieked, tackling him to the ground and wrapping her arms around him. 'HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME LIKE THAT! YOU STUPID BOYFRIEND!' And with that, she began showering him with kisses.

Gladion and I gagged as we turned our heads away, since that was our (ex) leader she was making out with, while Sun and Lillie just aww'd at the 'Romantic' moment. Ech, barf... Just so you know, me and Gladion are by far a cuter couple than Peanut and Grandpa over there...

At last, the two lovebirds parted and stood. Guzma looked down at his little girlfriend, and then back at us, before cocking an eyebrow.

'How'd you twerps get in this place anyways?' He asked, before sighing with a shrug. 'Either way, here you are...'

He asked... yet he didn't even bother to... You know what why am I even surprised? It's Guzma for Arceus sake!

'This here place gives me the creeps, and there are those Ultra Beast things crawling 'round everywhere! I tried catchin' one, but it went and possessed me or somethin'. My whole body went wild, and I couldn't do nothin'. It was like I was someone else or somethin'. It was terrifying!' He shuddered, yet still remained his smug self.

'Well, that was your own bloody fault, wasn't it?' Gladion scowled, which earned his ribs to be violently jabbed with my elbow. 'Ow...' He hissed, glaring at me as he rubbed the part I hit.

'Gladion! Not the time! No matter how much he deserves it!' I scolded him.

Guzma scoffed, as he towered over him with a frown. 'Your lady friend's right, runt. If it weren't for the hellhole we're in right now, I would'a beat you senseless for talkin' back to me like that!' he threatened, before turning around and wrapping an arm around Rose. 'But considerin' there's no way oughta here, and it ain't exactly the right place to be arguing, I'll let it slide this once...'

Wow... he was actually being logical for once. But I guess when it came to survival anyone could become a serious person. He was right of course, we needed to get along in order to stick together. Gladion was still pouting like a child from me telling him off, which made me giggle slightly.

'Excuse me... Mister Guzma?' Lillie spoke up, probably trying to change the subject. 'Have you seen my mother? Or have any idea on where she might be?'

Guzma shook his head, grimacing slightly. 'That lady? She's totally crazy! She's on another lever. Totally lost her damn mind over these beasts. I'm tellin' ya there's nothing you can do or say to get to her. Her mind is just... POOF, gone!' He told her, making a gun motion with his hand towards the side of his head. Though, Lillie didn't look like she wanted to believe it. Neither did Gladion if you looked really closely.
