Chapter 55: Meg's mood swings

(I'm gonna skip to the end of the battle. I know you want details, but I don't really want this book to go over sixty chapters.)

After combining all our attacks, along with Sun and Mudsdale's powerful Z move 'Tectonic Rage', Lusamine's remaining tentacle shattered and was therefore defenseless. Unfortunately though, she once again rose and let out an angry scream.

'YOU WILL NOT TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY BELOVED BEASTS!'

'I thought that Z move would have finished her off...' Gladion murmured.

'I think we all did.' Rose stated, a frown on her face.

L and Mystery dude looked over at each other, seeming to be telepathically debating on something, before nodding with serious expressions.

'Lunala! Please help us!' Mystery dude yelled.

Lillie seemed to have a similar idea, as she yelled: 'Solgaleo! Please help us!' at the same time. Immediately, the two legendaries appeared to aid us.

Lunala? Is that how L and her brother got here? I thought to myself.

The legendaries combined the attacks Sunsteel Strike and Moongiest Beam, which twisted around each other and became one single attack.

'NOW!' Sun, Lillie, Rose, Guzma, L, Mystery dude, Gladion and I all yelled at the same time, and the attack engulfed Lusamine. She and the Ultra-beast's bodies finally separated, and they both fell to the floor exhausted. The beast returned to its Pokeball, while Lusamine lay on her back with her eyes closed.

'MOTHER!' Lillie yelled as she ran to the woman, with Sun and Gladion close behind. Lusamine opened her eyes to her daughter's voice, and gently caressed her cheek with a smile.

'Lillie... When did you become so... beautiful...' She said weakly, before drifting off into a deep slumber from exhaustion. Everyone sighed with relief to it finally being over. I decided now would be the right time to transform, as I was now incredibly weak. I also now had a large gash on my side, from barely dodging a large rock that fell from the ceiling. With little amount of energy I had left, I managed to transform to my human form, but immediately collapsed after. Luckily though, Rose was there to catch me.

'Megan! Oh Arceus you look like crap!' She gasped.

'... Why thank you...' I croaked, my eyes squeezed shut.

Suddenly, everything began to shake, and the other Ultra Beasts appeared. They seemed to be angry.

'We gotta get outta here!' Guzma yelled. 'Those things ain't happy and I bet it has somethin' to do with us!'

He was right. Lusamine was stopped, so we could leave. Gladion rushed over to help Rose carry me. I had my arms over their shoulders, while they had an arm each around my waist. L and Mystery dude helped Sun and Lillie, since they were slightly injured from being thrown into a wall, and Guzma picked up Lusamine as Solgaleo and Lunala teleported us back to our world.

As soon as we made it back to the altar, everyone collapsed onto the ground exhausted. Luckily everyone came back in one piece, but not all in good shape. Lillie and Sun had bruises on their arms and faces, and Lillie's hair was a mess. Gladion also had bruises, along with that large cut above his eyebrow, and his left arm was broken. Lusamine was knocked out cold, but rest should make her good as new. And me? I had it the worst. My body was covered in burns and cuts, the gash on my side caused me to lose a lot of blood, and my breathing was unsteady from almost being suffocated. Apart from that we were good.

'Looks like we came out in one piece.' L stated with her hands on her hips, before looking over to Gladion. 'Well... Almost...'

'Ha ha, you're funny...' The boy hissed.
