Chapter 17

Tyler's P.O.V

They talked and laughed as we sat in the cafeteria table. I had my hands intertwine with Helena's.
She's perfect, beautiful, smart. Everything you want in a girl. When I first saw her my heart just slowed down. But then when our eyes met it was like we were the only ones there. Just me and her.....
My girl-
My thoughts were broken when my cell phone rang. I reached inside my pocket not letting go of Helena's hand and read the screen. I smiled. Helena looked at me as so did the group.
"I gotta take this. It will be a minute."
I walked away from the table as I went into the hall and answered my phone.
"Hey! I haven't seen you in a long time." I smiled as I put my hand in my pocket.
"I know! We should finally meet up again. I miss you dude." We both laughed as I huffed.
"Ah, the bromance is coming back."
I heard chuckling on the other line.
"Yea! We can hang out like old times and start on our bromance."
I sighed.
"What's wrong man?"
"No-'it's just- that there's this girl. I'm afraid we can't."
There was silence. Nothing, by silence.
"Man! When did Tyler get a girl?! Is she hot?!" Ray asked.
"Yea, she's beautiful. Perfect. I want to get to spend more time with her and all. Make her feel loved...she needs it."
I stared off into space and I heard snapping.
"Hey! Tyler?! You still there?!"
"Yes Ray!" I matched his voice.
"Boyyyyy, I get it on how you want to spend some time with her." He whistled as my eyebrows raised in confusion.
Sex! He's talking about sex!
"No! Ray dude you got it all wrong! I'm not here for sex! I like her a lot dude and she's just...wow!"
"You got the love bug man! It bit you! I'm proud to hear that! I hope she'll treat you good as you treat her. I need to meet this girl! When?"
My eyes widened.
"No! No! No! No! Ray, no! Your gonna-"
"Man it's alright!"
I sighed again and I placed my hand near the side of my face.
"Fine! But when are you gonna be here?" I asked.
"Umm, maybe tomorrow!"
"What?!"
"I'm kidding dude! Maybe next week? Maybe a month? I don't know bro I'm still in this family reunion bullshit."
I chuckled.
"Your still at the family vacation?"
"Yea! But they do have some fine ladies here! In fact I'm about to call you later."
I rolled my eyes. Probably a girl just walked by.
"Hey! Baby girl!" Was the last thing I heard before he hung up.
I laughed and shook my head as I stared at my phone.
I finally got back to the crew as Josh stared at me.
"So who was that?" He asked as Kayla hit him with her elbow.
"Um it's just an old friend that was calling." I smiled as he nodded.
Layla looked mad for some reason and Helena looked confused in her thoughts.
"Let's eat! Shall we?" I broke the awkward silence.

Helena's P.O.V

"Just an old friend that was calling! Are you kidding me! Whenever a guy says that he's really talking about an old girl best friend as in an ex or girlfriend!" Layla said.
It was just the four of us walking in the hallway of the schools.
"Maybe it's really an old friend." I shrugged my shoulders.
They all looked at me with sad eyes.
"No! No! No! He does not have a girlfriend guys ok- he can't-"
Josh scratched his neck nervously as the girls hugged me.
"I got to get to next class so I'll meet you there." I said while taking all my books out for next period.
I slammed my locker and began to walk fast to next period.

After school.
I breath in a large set of air as I ring the doorbell to Allies house. I didn't really want to be here right now since I was already angry that the guy I'm crushing on has a girlfriend already. I hate this!
I rubbed my arms as I heard the door open. I turned to see a middle aged dark woman at the door. She had red hair and brown eyes like Allie. She was wearing a dark velvet top with a matching skirt with black flats. She looked decent. Nothing like Allie. Does she know that her daughter Allie changed.
"Helena?" She sounded surprised.
Yea. I've came here before.
Only like a few times. Like I said, that was before Allie changed.
"Um hi. I was wondering if Allie is here?" I asked nicely as she thinks for a second.
"She's upstairs in her bedroom.
You know where it is right." She opens the door and I walk in.
The smell of fresh cookies instantly comes to my nose. I smell it again as I feel my mouth watery. I haven't eaten since lunch time. I walked up the steps and knock on the door.
"Come In!" She calls.
I close my eyes as my hands fiddle with the nob. Was I ready for this conversation?
I finally open the door and see her room as the same it was before.
My eyes wander to the room to Allie. She's sitting on her bed looking perfect as ever. Notice the sarcasm. She wearing a nice shirt with her skirt and her heels. Her red devil hair is down a little wavy. I had to say she had some good hair but it wasn't like she had better hair then me...
What?! It's true! I still had better!
"So I came." I said and put my hands in front of me.
"Good. We need a long chat." She closes the door as she turns to me.
"Sit." She states as she points to the chair.
I obey anyway and sigh as I give her an annoyed look.
"First before we start, do you want some cookies?" She asked as a tray of cookies are sitting on her hand.
"No, I'm fine really."
I was hungry, but who knows? She could of poison the cookies. She shrugs and picks up a cookie and bites it.
She could of still poison one of the cookies. Oh I know that she knows the poison cookie.
"So what do you want?" I ask as I tilt my head to the side.
"I have nothing against you. I really don't. You were always there for me when I was bullied. So don't hear what others say and please forgive me." She smiles as she says this.
I lock my jaw as I think. Maybe she's lying. I can't really tell if that's a fake or a real smile. I can read people very well. Maybe she's both. She is guilty and not at the same time? I didn't really know.
"Look Allie. I don't really want to put up with your shit right now so just stop lying." I said as I try to be tuff.
She looks shocked, but frowns.
"I really am."
But at that moment her frown turns into an evil smile.
"You know what Green? I don't have to apologize to you. I don't have to apologize to anybody. This is who I am now and I'm loving it! Do you know how it feels to be bullied your entire life and then turn into this hot girl and feel great again?! It took years to be this way and Im not changing. All my good work really payed off."
My mouth drops and I stare at the good girl gone bad girl in front of me. Maybe she was sorry, but then changed and said I'm not sorry. Her attitude is strange..
"You know." She comes closer to me and smirks.
"It was really fun making out with Tyler. Did you know he is an amazing kisser. We could of did that for the whole time." She smirks easily as I grit my teeth.
I will jump out of this chair and punch her little face.
Her mouth comes to my ear as she whispers
"Now get out of my house!"
My tongue slids against the inside of my mouth.
"Gladly!" I stand up and pick up my book bag.
I open the door , but turn around.
"Where is the Allie I use to know? The sweet girl that I used to talk to? Huh? Where is she?! But you won't control the school for long! All you are is a little slut who will do anything to control the school and get what she wants!"
She gasps.
I slam the door as I angrily storm out of the house. I hope Allie sees what I'm talking about.
I walk home and go straight into my room as I see Cody sitting on my bed. His eyes widened as he barks and jumps on me and licks me. I laugh and pet his back.
"Hey boy." I whisper to him as I lay with him for a couple of seconds.
"Where's everybody Cody?" I ask.
He barks and runs out the door as I follow him Into Carly's room.
Carly was there playing with Jen as they laughed.
They both looked up as they heard my footsteps.
"Hey Helena, where just playing a game." Jenna said as she smiled.
Carly nodded.
"Wanna play?!" She asked all jumpy.
"How many sugars did you give her today?" I asked as Jenna laughed.
"A lot."
I looked at her.
"Just kidding. She secretly drank some Pepsi. You know how much sugar it haves."
I nodded understanding. Sometimes Carly can be a ninja. I laughed at the thought.
"What's so funny?" Carly and Jenna asked at the same time.
Carly laughed as Jenna smiled wider.
"Imagine Carly here as a ninja." I said as Jenna laughed.
"She is already."
She stood up as she grab Carly's coat.
Her face turned serious.
"Helena we were just going to go to the hospital after we were done. So I figured you can come." I nodded as I let out a nervous sigh.
"You ok?" She ask as Carly was putting on her coat.
"Yea. It's just nervous. That's all." She nodded understanding.
"Can we bring Cody?" I ask.
"Fine but, he has to stay In the car." She pointed to me.
I haven't really gotten to see Cody these days. There was just too much things happening.
Throughout the whole car ride was quiet. I just played with Cody through out the whole thing. It was pretty scary. I know this wasn't the first time, but it's just...I don't know.
We finally got there as I faced Cody.
"Stay here boy. Were just gonna be there for a few." He barked as he licked my hand.
I closed the door as we walked into the hospital.
Jenna asked for my mother as they gave her the room number. We walked through the halls of the hospital as we reached her door. I opened it with a shaky hand as the door flew opened. I gasped as I saw mom. She looked sick. But it was bad. I felt tears coming down my face as I rushed over to her. My knees gave up and I fell down beside her. Carly was behind me looking sad as a few tears feel from her face too.
"Mom." I whispers and took some hair out of her face .
She opened her eyes and smiled.
"Hi Helena dear."
I smiled and gave a nervous laugh as it turned Into a frown.
"Carly, I miss you so much." My mother said.
She cried as they hugged each other. I smiled at the two.
Jenna walked slowly to her cousin as they smiled at each other.
"She's really taking care of Carly." Jen said she gestured to me.
My mom smiled at me and showed pride in her eyes.
" I know she is."
I smiled. I was giving up hope. But now I had to stay strong. Strong for our family.
