Chapter 72

I stared down at the flowers that was were in front of my hand. Pretty, so beautiful. I could smell the deadly blossoming from them. I don't think I would see things again like I used to see since my mom is gone and she can't help me anymore. Moms knew everything and that was a fact.. Not everything but they knew the information you needed. And no, it wasn't periods. But that too. They were there for you when you were scared. When you had your first bicycle. When you hurted your knee and they came running to you and saved you like a beautiful white angel. They came to help you with your test, they taught you, they fed you, and they took care of you. Moms were one of the most beautiful humans on the earth. Dads were food to but I don't think they would beat the girls. I don't know how they did it, I don't know how they do it. But I loved my mom for being superwoman and I'm pretty sure she had some super woman friends herself. And those woman had children of there own that admired there powers too. They were just like me... Just like all of us.....

"Helena." A voice broke me out of thoughts as I looked away from the flowers that were in my hand and turned back. My head looked up as I saw my dad with Jen who was holding Zachary in her hands. "Yes.." I said as I zoned out on the flowers again. From the corner of my eyes I could see them frowing. "Well um- my mother is here to see you. Remember her? Your older cousin." I turned my head towards them a little as I gripped onto the hem of my dress. I exactly remembered Jen's mom. She was older now but I remember her back then.. Maybe she's change over the past years. She was caring, sweet and funny but at times she was hard on Jen. She wanted her daughter to get a bright future and I don't think there getting along right now since Jen's mom doesn't like the idea of Jen having twins at her twenties.. But please, I know lots of girls who have kids at age fourteen. Then out of now where an older lady came up to her as my dad hugged her right away. She hugged back and smiled at Jen as her eyes then trailed on me. I looked at her features closely which was just like the older Jen. She had grey eyes with a kind of gleam in them. But it wasn't a bad gleam. She had wrinkles of course but she was looking good for her age. I mean she had the same hair color as Jen but this ladies hair is shorter, short to her shoulders. She was small but over all she had a good body.

The woman instantly smiled at me, even her smile reselembed Jen's! Then I wanted to smack myself for being stupid since I just found out that this is Jens mother. "Hello Helena, its been a while!" She said as the lady pulled me into a hug as I awmardly hugged her back. I saw Jen sharing the same look as my dad as they both looked at us with nervously eyes. I patted her back as I pulled away from the lady. "Yes it has been." She smiled as her smile then turned into a frown instantly. "I'm so sorry about.. About your mother." She whispered as she then looked at me I'm the eyes. I froze at the mention of my mother. "She was a very good woman you know. Such a happy person with a broken heart though that it broke me more-" she shakes her head as she then gives me a light smile. "You look just like her!" I smiled nodding, oh I knew. You can't believe how many people already came up to me and said that I looked so much like my mother, it was unbelievable! Jen's mother then looks at her daughter as her eye sparkled with memory. "It was just like yesterday when her and Jen use to come home everyday from playing soft ball. They were just a good old peas in a pod! She was a beautiful and good child though. I remember seeing Clarissa always helping and hanging out with my daughter. They were something.. I'll tell you!" Jen's mother shakes her head while she laughs remembering the memories as if it was today. "Alright.. That's enough mother. Let's go talk to cousin Rico." Jen says as she pulls her mothers dress a little. "Ugh.. Rico, i hate that bastard." Jens mom turns around and stands behind Jen as my father says goodbye to her. "Bye Green." Father says as she just nods her head and the waves bye to me as I do the same. After they leave I sigh and look at the flowers I'm front of me. I felt arms wrap around my shoulders as I looked up to see Dad looking down at me with a sympathy look. "What a reunion.." I mumble as he starts to chuckle. "Are you alright?" He asks me as I shrugged but nod for him. I didn't want to see him sad but then again... Were at moms funeral, the woman my father loved and still does.
