Chapter 54

Another morning.. Hmm. I yawned as I stretched out my arms and looked towards the window. I sighed as I patted Cody who was still sleeping like a baby. He opened his eyes to show his blue ones but he closed them back.

I chuckled as I shook my head and got up as I got my clothes ready. I went to the bathroom, took a quick shower and quickly put on my clothes. I started applying lip gloss on my lips then mascara.

I then put concealer under my eyes to cover up my bags. I put my hair into a braid. I don't usually do braids but I should..I look really cute.

I grabbed my books and bag as I went downstairs but opened my bedroom door so Cody would smell the food and wake up.

My eyes widened a bit as I saw Jen standing there drinking a cup of home made coffee. She turned around but stopped and noticed I was there.

"Hey Helena." She greeted. I nodded awkwardly. "Don't you look cute today?" I looked down at my outfit. I was wearing a grey shirt with patterns that said 24 and black pants with my jacket.

"Thank you." I said. I started to take some food and put it on my plate.

I haven't really seen Jen in a while. I really do miss her. Is this what my birthday is gonna feel like. Lonely, sad, and depressed. I felt my eyes water do I quickly but gently wiped then, making sure my mascara didn't come off.

I sighed as I continued to eat quickly, waiting for my father to come down. Jen sighed herself as she moved around the table. "You know where talking about this after school." Jen said breaking the silence.

I shrugged. "Whatever."

As I said that, father came down with his suit while holding his head. "You okay?" Jen asked him. He nodded slightly and pulled his hand away. I could see redness in his eyes. That only meant that he was drinking. I shook my head sadly at him.

"Bye Carly!" Dad yelled since Carly was in the room playing with Cody. We both walked out of the house and into the car. He started to car and started to drive as we say there in silence on the whole car ride.

As we got there I sighed. What's the point of going to school anyway? Can somebody tell me that?! I closed the door as me and dad made different ways. I guess I'll just stay in the halls since Mary is still sick. Plus dad wouldn't need my help anyways...

I closed my eyes as I popped my headphones into my ear and sighed in relaxation as the music started to flow through my ears. Man..I wouldn't know what I would do without music.

I mean who wouldn't know what to do? It's music people!!!

I felt a presence near me so I opened my eyes to see Lilly hovering over me with a questionable look on her face.

"Yes?" I asked a little annoyed since she ruined my music time. "The students are coming in now, might as well go get our books." She nudged my side. I jumped and ran to my locker and took out my belongings.

As I turned around I saw Tyler coming into the entrance with Ray at his side. His eyes connected with mine as we just stared at each other. I could feel the blood rushing throughout my veins and my cheeks. I licked my lips as I finally looked down when Ray pulled Tyler out of his trance. I pulled a piece of hair out of my face and sighed.

She slapped my arm. "Shudup!" She playfully said as I stuck my tongue out. "Hmm." She mumbled as she looked down at her phone. "Ooh. Who is that?" I asked as I looked very her shoulder and bend. She sighed. "It's Brad, I'm mad at him." I raised a brow. "Why?" I asked as we started to go to her locker. "I don't know but I am.."she paused. "Since he didn't kiss me goodbye after we got out of his car."
