Chapter 70
I digged my knife into my mash potatoes as I shoved into my mouth as I keep glaring at Kristina who enjoyed every bit of my hate for her right now.
"So Kristina is it right?" My father asked ad she nodded while wiping her mouth with a napkin. "Before you start asking me questions, I would just like to say that I'm very pleased to get along with my long lost cousins. When I tell my grandmother about this, she will be very pleased." I grumbled as I sighed. Jen smiled as then Tina started crying. She looked at Chris as everyone looked over at the crying baby. Chris didn't complain as he took Tina but also Zachary upstairs while Carly looked at Jen.
"Where's Mason?" She asked her as Jen replied that he was upstairs sleeping
She was upset that she couldn't have her best friend at this dinner but she didn't complain. She just grabbed her teddy bear and sat down next to me. I was in between Jen and Carly as Dad was on the side. Kristina was across from me so she could see my face. At least she wasn't next to me....
Chris was sitting next to her but he went upstairs to calm the babies down.
"So, um Kristina well let's first start off by greeting the people at the table..." Man, dad was really starting it off here huh? He then looked at Jen. "This is Jen, she is our cousin from my wife's side- and she just recently had two children." Dad got a little choked up at telling about mom. "Well I just wanted to say that your children are adorable! And nice to meet you Je-" I cut off Kristina with a sharp glare. "Its Jennifer, not Jen." I said as everybody looked at me with a shocked expressions. Jen winced, I know that Jen didn't like anybody calling her by her real name but only close people call her Jen and if there aren't close *cough Kristina cough* thentheyaren't aloud to call Jennifer Jen! Okay!
Jen then nervously laughed as she secretly glared at me. They don't know that I've met Kristina or anything. "Thank you sweetie and its great to be able to meet you- you know um- face to face." Kristina smiled but then looked at me slightly confused. "Moving on...this is-"
"Mason!" A voice called out as we all turned to see Mason walking down the stairs. Carly opened her eyes at his voice as she sat up straighter. And yes, she was sleeping. "And Chris..." Chris said as Jen giggled at the two. "Where the babies?" She asked her boyfriend. "Asleep" he answered as Mason sat down next to Carly.
"I'm sure you know who they are.. I heard that your their neighbors." Dad said as she nodded while swallowing. "Well actually I only live close to the mother. So I actually know both parents." She looked at Chris as he nodded. I heard that Chris barely ever saw Kristina before she met me but she does see him at times since he is the father of Mas.
"This is my two daughters Helena and Carly and of course I'm there father John." She nodded as she then stared at Carly. "Your too cute! I love your eyes." Carly just nodded as she held her bear tighter and hugged ur closely to her. Kristina looked at Carly puzzled as she looked down at the bear. She then looked up at me trying not to smile too much. "Hello ,Helena." Kristina said. I smirked and faked smiled but my eyes said other wise, "Hello, Kristina." I paused before saying her name as everyone stared at us. Jen then said, "You guys know each other or something?" We both nodded but then shrugged. "We got to the same school. She's the new student. And Tyler's ex." I mumbled the last words. Dad then put down his drinks and he nodded. "Oh yes that's right! Kristina is the new student!" Everyone understood now. "But just tell me why did you come to our school?" Jen asked as Kristina got nervous. She had to act sweetly and good anyway since my dad was the principle of our school and since if she didn't, I would smack the shit out of her. Calm down Helena, calm down I told myself. We all waited for her to answer as she then sighed. "I actually came to this town since I wanted to meet my long lost cousins so I also attended that school even though its far from where I live." It was true, she did live far and plus she took bus so that's how you know that info right there.
