Chapter 38

I started to panic as I grabbed the leather seat.

"Helena everything's gonna be alright." Dad said as he looked at me then back at the road.

"No! Nothing it gonna be alright!" I screamed.

He flinched a little but glared at me.

"Screaming isn't gonna help anything!" We were both scared for mom. I knew it and he did too. He sighed.

"I'm scared too Helena but right now we gotta be strong."

I sniffed as nodded since nothing couldn't come out of my throat. I held my phone tighter as it ringed. I saw to see I got a message from Tyler saying that he was on his way with the rest.

I sighed and I ran a hand through my hair as my head leaned against the widow, little tiny drops began to get bigger and bigger. I didn't know we were here already so when the door opened, I fell but dad caught me.

"We gotta pay attention right now." He held on right to my shoulders as I nodded.

He closed the door as he dragged me inside. I could not find my own feet moving. It was like I was in a state of shock. He took me to her room after he went to the front desk.

But we were stopped.

"You can't go in there. She's having a hard time breathing sir and she's very pale."

"What?!" Me and dad yelled at the doctor.

"That's my mother who's in there! I need her!" I yelled as I pushed the doctor but he wouldn't budge. Instead he grabbed my wrist as I struggled out of his grip.

"Hey- let me go!" I yelled.

"Let my daughter go!" Dad said sternly to the man as he obeyed.

"Look as much as I want to, I can't. It's orders."

"Fuck the orders-" I yelled but got caught off by dad as he put his hand up.

"Please. This is the mother of my two children! She has a younger girl!" Dad begged.

The doctor sighed and shook his head.

"I'm sorry. I'm afraid I can't let you do that."

He began waking away but dad spun him around.

"That's my wife in there-"

My eyes widened at the words wife but I shrugged it off.

They were divorced...

"And I should be able to see her!" He looked eye to eye with the doc.

"Look..you two please sit down and wait till we fix her breathing. This isn't gonna change anything and I can't let you two in, some people might poke there heads in and see what's all the yelling about. Then I'm gonna have to kick you out."

Dad didn't say anything but glared. If looks could kill, the doc would be in hell right now.

I looked at dad as he sighed and the man turned away.

"We can't just sit here and do nothing!" I sat down on the chair as I stretched my legs out and sighed.

"It's gonna be fine. Jens on her way with Carly." I nodded.

"How an I suppose to do this?" I asked him.

He raised and brow and blew out air.

"What do you mean?"

"The drama, the pressure. Everything in life."

He thought for a moment before answering.

"We all had problems in our teenage lives. Hell even in our lives. You just got to avoid obstacles in your way and take whatever is coming your way. Your not alone Helena. I know lots of people who have the same problems as you do." He looked me in the eye.
