Chapter 28

I sighed nervously and knocked on the door.

A spanish woman came up and raised her brow at me as she opened the door a little.

"Were closed."

I nodded.

I did see the 'were closed' sign.

"I see mam but I'm looking for a job here."

She bit her lip looking at me up and down, thinking about it.

"Fine. I'm gonna get my husband."

She opened the door for me as I walked in. I looked around the small little dinner as she locked the door.

"Just sit by that table. Okay?"

I nodded obeying the rules.

I looked around.

There were pictures of family and stars and art.

I looked at one which had an older beautiful woman with a little girl next to her and a teenage girl on the other side of her. I noticed a tube connecting with her nose.

I smiled.

She was was smiling brightly.

I could tell she fought cancer.

Maybe mom would fight it off too...

I hoped...

In a few minutes a guy came and smiled at me.

"Hello. I heard that you want a job here."

I nodded and smiled.

"Yes sir."

He smiled at me.

"Call me Phillip."

I nod.

"Let's start with the interview, shall we?" He said.

Oh this is going to be great...

~~~
"Okay thank you sir!" I said cheerfully.
He waved back.
Once I got onto my board and drove ,I cheered happily through the screaming of the wind that flushed in my face.
I laughed.
I got a job!!!
I looked at my phone and remembered that I was suppose to meet Josh at the cafe.
I sighed.
For about a few minutes I stopped my board with my other foot as I looked at the cafe in front of me.
"Helena!" I heard a voice call me from behind.
I turned behind to see Josh wearing a red sweater with regular jeans and his headphones plugged Into his ears as usual.
"Hey Josh." I smiled.
"Shall we?" He placed his arm under mine as we both smiled.
"We shall."
We walked in there just like a boss!
We ordered our coffees as we sat down at a table.
I turned to see everybody talking and smiling as they greeted each other.
"So, how are things?" He asked as he sipped his cup.
My hands wrapped around the coffee as I smiled.
