Chapter 59

All day in the morning the next day, Layla couldn't stop talking about her date or whatever and kiss with Ray. I puffed out some breath from my mouth as I sighed. "Will you shut up please." I said annoyed as Kayla stared at Layla who stopped in shock and was looking at me. Then a laugh could be heard throughout the room and I tried not to laugh as I got back to texting Tyler. Yes me and Tyler have been texting since this morning. Things are kinda still awkward between us but were getting through them. I looked back down and texted 'when are you going to tell me about your ex?' I sended it as I put my phone down.

"Did you see the new trailer for The Walking Dead?" Kayla asked us as I nodded happily. Probably one of my favorite shows. Besides Teen Wolf, anything on MTV, and basically anything fantasy with hot boys. But I also like cartoons! "Yes I can't wait to see it! Daryl!" Layla gasped. I shook my head but had to agree. If they kill him off everybody is not gonna watch the show no more. Even though Rick is like the main character, Daryl is the star here! Sorry!

"There should be a quote that goes like this-" I cleared my throat as the girls watched me. "Everyone thought that Daryl needed Jesus, not true, Jesus needed Daryl!" The girls laughed at my crazy words and clapped. I nodded satisfied. "Thank you! Thank you!"

I giggled a little but stopped when I heard a beep. The girls looked down at my phone as Layla tried to snatch it but I grabbed it with a glare. "No! It's mine!" I warned. Layla backed away, her face moving as I looked down to read what Tyler had sent me. 'I will tell you today. After all..it's your birthday tomorrow." My heart pounded by that text. Not only he was going to tell me about his ex but had I forgot that tomorrow was my birthday? The two saw the reaction on my face as they questioned about it. "Tyler texted me saying that he was going tell about his ex." They gasp as they both looked at the text. "Yes and it's your birthday tomorrow! We need to go shopping today!"

"No! No! No!" I said as I got up from my bed. "Look I invited you guys to my room and house but if I ever hear the "s" word again, I will never invite you guys back here." I said seriously. Layla pouted, "But you need clothes!" I shook my head. "No I don't, I went shopping a few days ago by myself and I think I did a good job." I nodded as my lips stuck out. They both groaned. "I'm scared at what you picked for your birthday day." Kayla said as she hid her head on Layla. "Guys stop it!" I scowled them. "Please let me impress you guys at least!" They both nodded. "Fine but if it's a mess, I'm grabbing your hand and taking you back to my house to change." Layla said as I shrugged. "Alright whatever."

I sat back down and charged my phone. "How is your mother by the way?" Kayla asked as she ruffled her hair up. I frowned and shook my head sadly. "Not good. I don't think she'll even get any better. I'm worried." I said as I played with the ring on my finger. My mom has been doing really bad. Dad and Jen have been visiting her lately and they both say the same thing. She's sick, she's dosn't look too well, never got better, or at times it's like she stopped breathing and it scared me. I couldn't lose her now. That reminds me that I have to go see her today. It also makes my family sad specially my father who is down all the time now. It's like he can't even smile one minute. "Helena were both sorry about your mother. Maybe your mom will get better." Layla said as she rubbed my arm. I blinked as I took my arm off of her touch. "Nothing will be the same again!" My voice raised.

Both girls had there eyes widened as they stepped back and looked at me in shock. "Im sorry." I apologized. "I'm sorry. It's just been hard for me. I can't wait till Prom comes." I mumbled as I laid on my back, staring at the ceiling and thinking about how Prom would be which would come in a few months. I would be in that beautiful dress looking beautiful as ever with Tyler with my side always. Layla would be with Ray as Kayla would be with Josh. Dad and Jen would be there taking pictures as I would be happy. Then we would dance and laugh at the Prom then a few months later I would graduate from school and start what career I would want. I sighed dreamily. "Okay..I think she's on drugs." Kayla whispered to Layla who stomped over to me and poked my side.
