Chapter 27
I took a deep breath and looked at my father as he gave me a small smile. I looked forward and mumbled "Well here goes nothing."
We walked in as my father told the lady the room and we walked in.
I opened the door as there she was..
My mother.
She looked more sick like she wasn't getting any better.
I wanted to cry right here but I had to show her how much I am strong.
She had a tube connecting to her nose.
I walked over to her and kissed her forehead. Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled. But that smile went into a frown as she saw dad behind me, his hands where in his pockets.
She looked at me then to dad.
"John." He gave a slight nod to her.
"I'm surprised to see you here."
There was an awkward tension in the air. I clear my throat and turn my head to my mother and kiss her hand.
I smile at her.
"Mom before I leave here today I just wanted to say that-"
I sniff.
"That I want to spend more time with you and that I really love you mom. Your a fighter and that's why I love you, it's everything."
I feel tears come down my face but I wipe them off.
She frowns.
Father is standing looking at is with a shock expression on his face.
Maybe he didn't know how much we both loved each other and how our relationship is..
He should of been there for us more longer.
"I love you my baby girl." She says.
She gives me a goofy smile as my lips pressed up to a smile.
"How's Carly?" She asked me.
"Carly is well....Carly."
We both laugh.
"Jen?"
I nod my head.
"She's doing really good with us and I appreciate her being there and helping me. Without her I would of failed."
She nods.
I turn my head to the monitor that's besides her as the lines go up and down.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
I close my eyes and pray that the sound stays there forever until she gets well.
Beep.
Beep.
"What about school?"
I lick my lips and bite it thinking about it. How has school been?
"Well..."
I smile thinking about Tyler.
"It's been really good. Really good and guess what."
She smiled.
"What?"
"Me and Tyler have a date today." I whisper in her ear so dad won't hear.
We giggled and look up at him as he raised a brow at us confused.
