Chapter 50
A day has passed. The days were going slower and slower for Helena. She hated this.
She hated herself.
She sighed as she chewed on her nails. She does that a lot when she thinks but she keeps thinking it's a habit too.
She stared outside her window as she stared at some small family laughing. She smiled.
She thought that she felt weird since this was like the scene from New Moon when Bella Swan was staring at the window.
Wait, now that she thought about this, was New Moon the right movie? Or was it Eclipse?
She shivered. She didn't want to be Bella Swan. She rather be Dora that hangs out with a talking monkey all day looking for useless adventures.
Now she wanted a talking monkey by her side. But she already has Felix for that.
"Helena." A small clear voice broke her out of her..weird thoughts.
She looked up to see her little sister Carly standing there,of course with her teddy bear.
"Yes?" I raised my brow.
She made a small smile. "Can we go see mommy?" She asked.
My eye brow lowered as my face made a sad frown. I haven't seen her in a while. I haven't checked up on her. I just know she's worse than she was before.
I sighed as she pursed her pink rosy lips. "Sure." I said confidently.
She needed to go see her sick mother again. She needed to see how she was doing. Including myself too.
Carly smiled wildly as she jumped around everywhere in my room, her bear flying.
"I'm gonna go tell daddy!" She yelled then she ran like sonic speed down the stairs.
I smiled and shook my head as my hair feel down to my shoulders. They rolled back as I stood up from the chair and away from the window.
I grabbed my cardigan and quickly put it on around myself. I bit my lip as I ran downstairs to see Carly in her jacket, talking fast with dad hovering over her.
His arms were on his waist as his eyes trailed on me. "I want you guys both back in one piece. You hear?!"
I giggled a little and nodded. "Whatever you say boss!" I shouted.
Carly jumped on her toes as she grabbed her bear as walked over to me. "You ready?" I asked as I checked of she had everything she needed.
She nodded as she licked her lips. "Ready!" She cheered. She squeezed my fingers as she gripped onto my sweater.
I knew that we were both excited but scared to see mom. Don't be scared now, I reminded myself.
I hated being like this. I hated the feeling of being scared and alone. Is there a reason that I feel so alone in this disaster world?
I turned to dad, "Can I take your car?" I asked him.
But he didn't respond since he was too busy checking his watch and putting his jacket on over his suit.
"I actually have to be somewhere so I'll drop you guys off quickly and maybe you can get a taxi on the way back."
I nodded as he opened the door for us. The windy air hit us as I smiled a little. I looked down to see Carly shivering with a frown.
I guess I can handle the cold air since I was born with it. I liked the feeling of the air nipping my skin.
Carly however was the opposite. She was born in the spring time so she preferred that flowery fresh smell.
