Chapter 26

My eyes opened slowly as I took a deep breath. I slowly got up as I felt pain on the side of my head.

I winced and pressed my hand to my head.

I looked around the room as I noticed I was in the nurses room.

I sat up straighter as I muttered some 'ow's.'

"What the hell happened?" I asked myself as I looked at the room before my eyes.

The door opened as the nurse came in with an ice pack. She saw that I was awake and smiled at me.

"Helena, sit down and rest, put this to your head." She handed my the ice pack wrapped with paper towel.

I took it but dropped it as I felt the cold contact on my hands.

She looked up at me and smirked.

"It's cold hun, be careful."

I nodded and put it to my head as I sat back, my back against the leather seat.

My arm was wrapped around my waist and the other arm held the ice pack.

"Judy, what happened to me?" I asked her.

The little old lady looked at me and frowned.

"You blacked out and fell on the floor. You hit your head pretty hard that you could of gotten a concussion."

I closed my eyes as I took in on all of the news.

Then I remembered I blacked out cause I saw my dad here.

I looked at Judy from the comer of my eye.

"I heard there's a new principal. Is that true?"

She nodded.

"He's very nice. He said he had a wife with two daughters but they got divorced for reasons and now he has a girlfriend."

My eyes widened.

"My father has a girlfriend!" I basically yelled.

My father never told me that..

I realized what I had said so I looked at Judy and covered my mouth.

She had a shock expression on her face and looked at me.

"Your his daughter?" She asked me.

I nodded and looked away.

"Sadly yes."

She chuckled as her foot moved.

"What time is it?"

She looked at her white watch, her eyes focused on her watch.

"It's almost time to go home."

"I've been that out for that long?!"

I didn't really thought that I've hit my head pretty hard but I did.

She nods.

I sigh and press the ice pack harder to my head.

"Can I see my friends?" I ask her.

She looks at me thinking.

"Please Jud. I really need to see them."

She sighs but nods and walks out.

I sit in the nurses just thinking.

Why did my dad come here? Does he know about mother and her sickness?
