Chapter 21

We went through the doors and people as I went straight to my locker. I took out my books I needed and put it in my hands. I shuffled throughout the books and put some in my bag. I slammed my locker as I rested my head on it.

"What a hell of a life." I mumbled.

"Aww. It can't be that bad." I turned to see Josh smiling at me with his headphones over his ear.

"Why are you smiling? You shouldn't be smiling!" I said as I looked at people laughing and talking.

Then there's me.....unhappy.

"Hey. What's the matter skater girl?" He asked.

I sighed.

"Nothing. I'll tell you later on okay."

He nodded as he searched my face.

"Just be okay skater girl." He put a hand on my shoulder.

"If only something could cheer me up." I closed my eyes as I heard Josh feet moving near me.

"He was a skater boy, she said see you later boy,

he wasn't good enough for her." He singed.

I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"She had a pretty face, but her head was up in space,

she needed to come back down to earth."

A smile tugged up the corner of my lips.

"Five years from now , she sits at home feeding the baby she's all alone.

She turns on the T.V., guess who she's sees.

Skater boy rocking up MTV.

She calls up her friends, they already know.

And they've got all tickets to see his show.

She tags along, and stands in the crowd.

Looks up at the man that she turned dowwnnnn."

I start laughing as he sings.

Then we both sing.

"He was a skater boy

She said see ya later boy

He wasn't good enough for her

Now he's a superstar slamming on his guitar

Does your pretty face see what he's worth?

He was a skater boy

She said see ya later boy

He wasn't good enough for her

Now he's a superstar slamming on his guitar

Does your pretty face see what he's worth?"

We both smile at each other as we start to laugh.

"You remember." I said.

He gasped.

"Of COUSRE! That's the first song-"

"We heard together." We both say finishing it.

I nod.

"Yes I know."

"It was your favorite song back then."

"It is today." He laughs.

He ruffles my hair as I smack his hand away.
