Tumawag si tita Char na hindi daw makakasunod si AC. For me, okay lang naman. Pero I'm worried kasi tita said, AC's sick.
Acid reflux lang daw naman, she just needs meds and some rest.
After ng game, tumawag din si AC, saying sorry and she insisted na siya daw ang susundo sakin sa airport kahit na kasama ko sila mom at kuya and for sure dad will pick us up. Hindi na ako kumontra because I miss her na rin naman.
"Bei, where's AC?" Tanong ni kuya habang naglalakad kami papalabas ng airport.
"I can't contact her nga, eh." Saad ko na may halong pag-aalala.
"Try to contact Char, Bei." Mommy suggested kasi nakita na namin yung car ni dad na paparating.
We bid goodbye na rin sa mga teammates ko na halatang pagod na pagod sa byahe. They need to rest na kasi may mga pasok at training pa tomorrow.
This is just one of the sacrifices we need to do after choosing having a life of student-athletes.
After I dialed tita Char's number twice, dun niya sinagot.
She told me na nasa hospital daw si AC, making me panicked.
Alam kong pagod sila mommy sa byahe pero pumayag pa rin silang dumaan muna sa hospital. I know concern din sila kay AC. Kuya keep on telling me to calm down kasi sobrang kaba yung nararamdaman ko.
Nabuhayan ako nung gising na si AC pagdating namin. Sabi ni tita Char she fainted kaya they rush her here.
Seryosong tumayo si tito sa pagkakaupo sa couch to greet us.
Ngumiti rin ng tipid sakin si tita then I make my way papunta kay AC. She smiles at me and say sorry.
"Shhh. Nothing to be sorry about. I'm glad you're good now." I said as I kissed her forehead.
"How are you, AC?" Mommy asked habang nilalagay ni kuya at ni dad yung basket of fruits na dala namin sa table.
"I'm good tita. Nothing's serious." Mommy kisses her and sumunod din nila kuys and dad.
"She's stable now. But she still needs to rest and avoid acidic food." Tita explained na ikinangiwi ni mommy kasi puro citrus yung nabili naming fruits.
"It's okay, Det. Nandito ang daddy. I can eat all of those." Biro ni tito Roco.
Nagkwentuhan lang kami at nagbiruan until may pumasok na nurse telling us na pwede ng lumabas si AC.
Gusto pa sanang ipaextend ni tita kaya lang AC insisted kasi sabi niya mas gusto niya daw na siya ang doctor than being the patient.
Gustuhin ko man matulog kila AC to look after her, I know she needs some rest. Kailangan ko na rin magpahinga kasi I'm starting to get drain.
Kinaumagahan, we are all lucky kasi suspended ang pasok because of the heavy. It means mas may time kami to rest.
I stayed in my room all day and gumalaw lang nung pahapon na to prepare for Trina's birthday.
