Bea's POV

Friday after lunch nung nakarating kami sa Manila. Tita Char keep on calling us kasi baka daw malate kami sa flight namin. AC's family will go to Spain while kami babalik sa Japan to explore the country more.

Pagkahatid namin kay Jho, sa bahay kami nila AC tumuloy kasi sabay-sabay na daw kami pupunta sa airport. My parents are there already.

Two hours before our flight nakarating na kami sa bahay nila that's why we have time pa to have some snacks.

AC decided na mag-shower instead kasi di daw siya nakaligo ng maayos dun.

While she's not around, tita make use of the time to remind me about AC's upcoming birthday, her 19th birthday. Her 18th birthday happened at Macau kaya mostly sa team and her classmates wasn't able to attend. Kaya ngayon, they are thinking to have grand birthday celebration here. I promised tita na I will help her with the preparation.

Second day namin dito sa Japan pero ang utak ko kahapon pa lumilipad. Instead of enjoying, I'm thinking what gift to give AC.

One month pa naman before her birthday pero parang I want to buy her a gift here.

Ewan ko pero this country has AC's memory na to me. Siguro it's because nawala kami dito pero naging masaya pa ako kasi siya yung kasama kong mawala.

We are strolling around when I saw a Tasaki store.

"Wait, mom." I excuse myself and enter the store.

I'm thinking to give her another pendant, but an anklet caught my attention.

It's simple yet elegant white gold anklet. I never saw her wearing like this one, but I'm pretty sure this will fit her.

My mom and my brother entered the store. Mom smiles at me while kuya went outside again. Boys will be boys hahaha.

"Mom, is it okay if you’re the one who will shoulder my pasalubong for my friends and for the team? I will buy something expensive kasi and my ipon will not be enough if I will shoulder pa their pasalubongs.” Mom looks at me, who was busy looking at the classy jewelry awhile ago.

“No prob. But what will you buy ba? Gusto mo palit tayo, ikaw sa pasalubong and ako ang bibili dyan sa sinasabi mo?” Mom offered.

“It’s an anklet, mom. My birthday gift for Avery. It's okay, ako nalang. I have savings naman kahit papano and if you’re the one who'll buy it parang ikaw yung may gift niyan if ever.” I explained and awkwardly laugh.

“Are you dating AC?” Pinangliitan ako ng mata ni mommy.

“What?! I’m not, we’re….. we’re best frinds. That’s it.” I said, but I feel something wrong in my system.

Oh God what is happening to me? Why Am I stuttering?

“Hahaha okok. Sabi mo, eh. What will you buy ba?" Mom asked so I pointed out the anklet. "Nice taste, Bei." She pats me.

Finals game 2 ngayon against La Salle. Pagkalabas namin sa Gesu church, I saw AC's message. She can't watch daw because of her OJT.
