How My Writing Hobby Helped Me Slay

As you know, or maybe you don't, ya girl is actually back in school. We just started this new semester and we have new classes, professors, and etc. (I tried to spell the whole word but kept messing up so we abbreviatin'.) This class revolves around creating a curriculum for elementary aged children. None of this has anything to do with what happened on Thursday, though.

My professor made us do this activity where we start creating a story, using his beginning, and adding our own twist to it. And then, we wound up having to switch computers and finish other peoples' stories. He gave us like a three minute headstart. You know me, bitch. I'm an expert. I was out here typing up a damn storm. My shit was lit too. I made my story have talking animals. I just knew everyone else would follow suit and make their story just as interesting and cool as mine on MY story. I typed so much that people actually had to take a lil bit to read it all, which probably contributed to the final project being kind of trash. Anyway, here I am, adding humor and everything to everyone else's story with NO problem (except one bc his was... strange. Like mine was strange and funny but his was so hard to add to lol). I was SLAYING and I knew I had an easier time compared to others because I know I write regularly, in my free time. I'm just so happy that I had a skill (FINALLY!!!!) that benefitted me in the long run. Last time I felt like this was when I had to take that Creative Writing class. How about, that shit was an Honors class and I ain't realize it til later. I think I didn't realize it because I thought some of the people there didn't seem like they needed to be. Not that I thought they were dumb, but I didn't see them doing too well. Likely they slayed the English portion of the entrance exams, as did I. Doesn't make you creative or imaginative. I was born with that, lol.

This is gonna be even better for when I take this class again since I'll be going for English for my next degree.

ok bye i'm done
