That day Y/n tried to see the world above her wasn't the last.
Even though she told her mother she wouldn't try and go up there ever again, she still did.
She was a very curious girl and couldn't help but wonder what lived in the sky. All she has known is the tunnels that she lives in. For the longest time she thought that the tunnels was all there was to the world.
When she discovered that there was more her imagination took over.

Y/n's POV
(Twelve Years Old)

"Mom!" I call down the small corridor.
"Yes sweety?" She calls back.
"I'm going to hang out with Mark!" I tell her.
"Okay! Tell his mother I said hi!"
Smile on my face, I make my way down a small tunnel and knock on a makeshift door. Mark's mom answers.
"Oh Y/n!" She hugs me.
"I haven't seen you in a bit." I smile.
"I was sick so my mom didn't let me leave the house." I tell her.
"Well it's good that you're better now. Come in!" She moves out of the way so I can walk past her.
"Woah..." The whole place is decorated with weirdly colored cloth looking things.
"That's so pretty! Where did you get that type of cloth?" I ask.
Brighter colored cloth is way expensive since its harder to come by. Mark's mom actually is what you would call a bit rich.
"Those aren't cloth." She laughs and closes the door.
"Those are called flowers. They come from the sky." She tells me.
"Really?!" I ask amazed.
"How did you get them?!" She laughs at my jumpiness.
"I'm afraid I cannot tell you dear." I frown.
"But don't worry. When you're older maybe I'll tell you." This brings the smile back to my face.
"Thank you so much!" I hug her.
"No problem." She pats my back.
"Mark is in his room." I let go of her and nod.
"My mom also says hi." I tell her before walking down a super skinny tunnel until I reach Mark's room.

"Oh Markimoo~" I sing as I spot the boy sitting on his bed.
"Hey Y/n." He waves me over.
"Check out my new bed!" I look closer at the cloths he's laying on.
I know for sure that these are cloths and not what his mom said are flowers.
"Fancy." I smile while running my hand across the pile of red fabric.
"Take a seat." He tells me.
I sit down on the fabric and it's so super comfy.
"Wow." I lay back and feel myself sink into it.
"I see you like it." He laughs.
"When I get my own place soon maybe my mom will let me give it to you." I shoot up and almost fall into the ground.
"Really?!" I ask.
"Wouldn't you want to take it to your new place?" I question.
"Not if I know it'll help you get more sleep at night. If I could I would give it to you now." I smile.
"Awwww." I punch him on the shoulder.
"My little Markie is growing up so fast." I wipe away a fake tear.
"I'll make sure to have a small house close to yours so we can hang out all the time." My smile only grows bigger.
"You don't have to do that. Go move near your friends." I say.
"You are my only friend." He laughs.
"Then go make new friends." I chuckle.
"It's probably not so cool for a seventeen year old to be hanging out with a twelve year old all the time." I say.
"Being cool doesn't matter." He tells me. "Because you're my best friend you stupid little Yarn Ball."

"Oh ha ha." I sarcastically say.
"One time I spill a bunch of your moms expensive yarn on me and now my name is Yarny." He nods.
"Correct."
My attention turns to something sitting in the corner of his small room.
"What's that?" I ask.
His head turns to where I'm starring.
"It's a computer. Something from a really long time ago. I found so parts for one in a small shop and now I'm building one." My line of sight never leaves the metal contraption.
"What's a computer?" I ask.
"It's a metal box with a pane of glass attached to it. It also has tones of wires inside and outside of it. You can play games on it and use this old thing called
Wi-Fi. I'm still not exactly sure what that is though." I nod.
"When you find making it can you show me how to use it?" I ask.
"Of course!" He cheers.
"You'll be the first person to use it after me." I smile.
"You're awesome." He returns a smile.
"That reminds me," He stands up from the bed. "I have something for you." Mark walks over to a black bag and brings it over.
"You don't have to-"
"I want to." He cuts me off.

He pulls out what looks like a bracelet, but it's too big to be one.
"It's called a choker. It doesn't actually choke you though. I've been really into ancient things as you can tell lately and girls and women use to wear these."
It's black and has small f/c plastic gems in it.
"How much did it cost?" I ask, concerned.
"Not too much." He comes behind me and puts it around my neck.
After clipping on the back he hands me a glass shard.
"It's beautiful!" I tell him.
"I'm glad you like it." His smile is so bright and cheerful it just makes me feel happy inside.
"Well.....do you want to play tag before you have to go home?" He asks.
"Of course!" I cheer and we run out of his house to go and play tag with the other kids who live near by.
Mark will never grow up, no matter how old he gets.
