Dark's POV

I spend hours sitting around with Anti and our groups. We haven't heard anything from Mark or Y/n. A few Demons came in here and there that we killed, but it's been dead for the last hour. I can't help but feel slightly sad about the state of the house. I didn't have it for long, but it holds so many memories. Y/n came into our lives not long after I bought this place for Anti and I. We then ran into Mark and Jack and they moved in. We found how we were related.

I fell in love with Y/n in this house.

"What are you thinking about?" Anti asks. I shake my head. "Nothing." I say. "Y/n's gonna be okay. She can handle herself pretty good. You have to remember that she's badass." I can't help but smile as he says that. "I'm so glad that you found someone to make you happy." He says. "Why?" I ask. "Well I obviously want to see you happy, but I've known you my whole life and you've always been so closed off. Your dad really messed you up without either of you realizing it. Your mom thought you'd be better off with him-" "But I wasn't." I cut him off. "She was so wrong. If I was with her then maybe she wouldn't have died." Now it's Anti's turn to shake his head. "She was right." I raise an eye brow at him. "How can you say that? Living with my dad was horrible." Anti sighs. "Your mom left during a time where very few Demons knew about and lived in Rebel camps with Humans. She knew that she could have had you taken away if the camp she went to didn't accept Demons. She definitely would have lost you if you went down to The Systems with her. Their leader was so against Demons and didn't want anyone to know they existed. He may have killed you or just not let them in." I can't deny that what he's saying is true. "She also knew how powerful your father was. She knew that you'd probably be just as powerful a magic user as him. With your dad you could get proper schooling for your magic and have everything you'd need to thrive. Your mother was a smart person. She's the one who planted the idea of leaving into Y/n's and Mark's minds from what I've heard. She knew that they'd find you." I find myself holding back tears. "She set this whole thing up for us." I nod. "I guess you're right."

Then suddenly there's a loud ruckus outside. Anti and I look to one another before sprinting over to one of the holes in the wall. We carefully glance outside along with our groups. A large smile appears on my face when I see Mark and his group running by. My smile drops when I see the amount of Demons chasing them though. There's hundreds, probably thousands, of them.

"Alright everybody!" Anti steps back and claps his hands together to get everyone's attention. "We need to get ready. They'll start falling back in about a half an hour. Go and suit up."

I just keep staring in the direction they ran in. I feel so worried for them. Something about this whole thing feels wrong. It's almost as if something bigger is happening.

"Come on Dark." Anti says and I step back, still look at the outside world for a second, before following him to the kitchen.

We sit there for another hour waiting. We don't hear anything and haven't even heard anything on the distance. It's almost as if every single one of Lucifer's solders were following Mark. I feel anxious and can't stop bouncing my leg.

What if something happened?
What if they bombed them?
No, we would have heard that.
What if they just annihilated them all in one fell swoop?
