Mei's POV

The cell I'm in is dark. The second that Mark disappeared into the crowd they took me here.

No bed.

The last place I'll get to sleep before my exacution is the cold, damp, floor.

Water drips through the cracks in the top of The Systems tunnel.

The cell is small.

Probably about an eight by eight foot cell.

My exacution is scheduled for a few days from now.

It would be sooner, but they need me to find Mark.

They cant kill me until then.

They think they'll find him in no time.

Little do they know what I gave him.

A blue circle appears on the dark wall outside my cell.

Out of it comes her.

"How you holding up?" She asks.

"About as good as I can." I say.

"I-uh...sorry that I can't save you." She says.

I chuckle and shake my head.

"You're not even suppose to know me. Im not even suppose to be doing all this stuff that I have been doing." She tells me.

"I'm honestly surprised that the King hasn't come after me."

She nervously laughs.

"It's fine. As long as Mark and Y/n are okay then I can let myself go."

She looks sad.

There's a glint in her eyes of something when i say their names.

I almost don't catch it, but I think it's concern.

I decide to ignore it and move on.

"How is Nova?" I ask.

"I haven't visited her yet. I just checked up on Y/n and Mark. They found each other safely."

I smile.

"Was Red with them?" I ask.

She shakes her head.

"No, but he will soon. Right now it's just him. They'll be seeing Red soon."

I nod.

"I hope it goes well. Red wasn't mean so my bar is set high."

We both go silent until,

"Will they find them?"

She stares at me with a conflicted expression.

"Not exactly."
