Y/n's POV

My nerves are going absolutely insane. My whole body won't stop shaking. I also feel like I'm going to cry. Today is the day. The largest, and hopefully last, battle of this war will be fought. We've been sending people out for weeks and it didn't seem like either side was doing particularly well. Today I would be at the front lines of my own group for an attack. I close my eyes and think back to the discussion from this morning.

"So each of you will be with your original groups that you met at Dark's house." Caila tells us. "You'll be set up at different points in the city; hidden. Mark will lead a small group of Humans to The Center. We'll then all attack Lucifer's army." She uses her magic to create a diagram of The Center. "Now for Dark," We all turn to face him. "You will take your team and set up base in your house. They won't expect us to go back there." Dark nods, but it's obvious that he doesn't agree with staying back. "Anti and his team will join you just incase something happens and you need to fight without us. " She says. "We're gonna very slowly fall back to the house. Then our healers will come out and give us the final push we'll need." Everyone nods. "You'll be leading us into battle Y/n. We all rely on your command." I gulp. "A-alright." I stumble on my words. "Good. Dismissed."

Everyone stands up from the table and leaves the room. I slowly shuffle for the exit and am about to head to the cafeteria when someone gently takes hold of my elbow, stopping me. I look over my shoulder to see Dark standing there with a meek smile on his face.

"You don't have to lead." He tells me. I shake my head. "Trust me, I want to." He sighs. "I'll be by your side when we go to fight Lucy. I promise." I smile sadly at him. "Please stay at the house when we go. I don't want you to get hurt." I plead. Dark just chuckles. "I can handle myself Y/n." I roll my eyes. "Sure you can."

We leave soon to inact the plan. I make my way to the armory to get my gear. Walking into the room I'm met with Crete. He smiles at me and gestures to an armor stand with nothing on it.

"Yeah?" I stop in front of him and shoot him a questioning look. "This is your armor." He tells me. "Uh...I don't know of you know this Crete, but there's nothing on that stand." Crete rolls his eyes. "That's the point!" I raise my eyebrow. "So I'm fighting with zero armor?" Crete groans. "It's invisible!" He shouts. "Oh..." I trail off before chuckling. "How was I suppose to know that?" Crete just shakes his head. "Get your ass over here so I can put it on you."

I get closer to Crete and turn around. He places the invisible chest plate over my head, resting it on my shoulders. It's almost completely weightless. It feels as if someone has their hands gently set on my shoulders. He puts the helmet on me before stepping out in front of me.

"Knee pads." He bends down and latches them around my knees. "Why invisible armor?" I ask as he finishes up. "So that the King's army thinks you're vulnerable." He tells me. "Then what? I just become an even bigger target than I already am?" Crete squints and moves his hand. "Kinda, but you'll have this." He goes behind me and I turn to follow just as he turns back with a large Hell blade in his grasp. "You're giving me this?" I take it from his grasp and study it with awe. "You'll keep it hidden in the invisible holster on your right side." He takes the sword from my hands and puts it in for me so just a bit of the handle sticks out. "You'll also have a blade in your boots, left holster, and you'll be holding two." I nod. "Let me help you get those in."
