Y/n's POV

"Momma?" I look down at my little girl with a smile on my face.
"Yes sweety?" I ask.
She twiddles her thumbs as she states at the floor.
"I help make dinner?"
I chuckle.
"Of course you can darling! Just go ask your Dad to help you wash your hands." I tell her.
She looks up at me with such wonder in her eyes.
"PAPA! SHE SAYS YES! NEED TO WASH HANDS!" She tells as she runs into the living room.
I giggle and shake my head as I continue to cut carrots for dinner tonight.
That's when my watch begins to go off.
Setting down my knife, I hold up my wrist.
The person in the other end in unidentifiable.
I raise an eyebrow as I answer
A hologram of a person in a mask appears in front of me.
I jump back in surprise.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"No important right now." The voice is all jumbled and changes pitches.
"Hide your daughter. War is about to begin."
It's then over.
They disappear and I'm left stand-in there speechless.
"Momma!" I hear the pitter-patter of her feet as she runs back into the kitchen.
"Momma?" She tugs at my shirt, but I don't move.

What the am I going to do?

I gasp for air, launching myself forward.
I throw my hand over my heart and begin to try and catch my breath.
It's dark all around me.
Once I can breath properly again, I look around the room.

Where am I?

I go to move my legs off of what I'm laying on, but pain shoots up my right leg.
Then I remember that I broke it.
I sigh and lay back.

Am I still in the bath tub?
No, I'm laying in something soft, like a bed.

That's when I notice extra weight in my right hand.
Holding it up, I see another hand holding mine.
I yell in surprise and pull my hand away.
Pain goes through my hand as I do so.
Then the lights turn on.
I squint.
"Y/n?" My vision goes back to normal and I see Mark stand-in in the other side of the room with his hand on the switch.
"You're awake!" I feel arms wrap around my side.
Turning, I see Seán.
"What happened?" I ask.
"It's a long story, but Dark went and got you. You were already passed out when you got here."
My eyes widen as I remember what happened.
"Where's the blades?!" I shout.
"Chill, it's right here."
We all look to the stairs to see Anti floating there with my back pack in his grasp.
I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding.
"Where's Dark?" I ask, suddenly realizing that he's not in the room.
"We had to knock him out cause he wouldnt let us come near you." Anti says.
"Is he okay?" I question, concerned.
"He's fine. He's up in his room." Mark tells me.
"I want to go see him!"
I go to stand, but am suddenly frozen.
"Don't." Anti says.
His voice is laced with pain.
Suddenly I can move again.
My eyes lock with Anti's pained expression.
"Oh my god! Are you okay?"
He nods.
"I'm fine. Just used way too much magic today." He says.
"You should really get back to your room." Jack says with a frown.
He then stands up and walks over to Anti.
"Let's go." Jack begins to help Anti back up the stairs.
"If I wasn't so weak right now I would bite out your throat." His voice sounds tired.
"Yeah yeah." I can hear the eye rolling in Seán's voice.
Once they're gone Mark turns to me.
"You had me worried sick." He says as he walks over to me.
I smile sadly at him.
"I had to do it Mark." I say.
"But not alone."
I shake my head.
"No; something inside of me said that I had to. I don't know how to explain it." I tell him.
Mark then leans down and hugs me tightly.
I hug him back.
"It's alright. Just don't do anything like that ever again." He pulls away.
"No promises." I chuckle quietly.
"Well I know you just woke up, but I'm really tired."
I nod.
"I'm pretty tired too." I fake a yawn.
"That's good," Seán says as he comes down the stairs. "Because I'm ready to sleep like a damn log."
Both Mark and I laugh while they make their ways over to their sleeping spots in the floor.
Mark turns off the lights before laying down.
"Goodnight guys." He says.
"Goodnight!" Seán and I say back.
They then begun to drift off to sleep.
I sit in the darkness for a while just staring in the direction of the stairs.

I want to go see Dark.

Based off of what they told me, he won't even be awake.
I don't care though.
I just want to sit by his side until he wakes up.

Fuck it.

I sit up and swing my legs around.
I know that this is stupid, but people do stupid things for love.
I take in deep and long breaths to mentally prepare myself for what I'm about to do.
Then I slowly lower myself to the floor.
Im on my hands and knees with my broken foot in the air.
I can hear Jack already snoring to my right.
Cautiously, I begin to crawl across the floor and towards the staircase.
With every inch that I move, pain  shoots through my burnt hands.
But I suck it up and bite my lip.
After what seems like forever, I make it to the stairs.

Okay Y/n.
You got this.
Don't mess this up.
I believe in you.
...
Well I actually don't, but you still have to do it anyways.

Slowly my descent up the stairs starts.
I take every step one at a time.
Right hand, left hand.
Right knee, left knee.
Very carefully I make my way up.
Right hand, left hand.
My arms grow tired from supporting my upper body.
Right knee, left knee.
Still I push forward.
Right hand, left hand.
Everything seems to be going good.
Left knee.
Until it isnt.
You see I wasn't prepared for my knee to betray me like that.
So I didn't have time to live my left hand out of the way.
I end up putting all my weight onto my left hand through my left knee.
Not only that, but I managed to hit my broken foot too.
My eyes widen in pain and I bite the inside of my cheeks so hard that I taste a little blood.
A single year also slides it's way down my cheek.
I take a few minutes to compose myself before moving again.
Lucky for me, there were only two steps left.
When at the tip I silently cheer to myself and pretend to cry tears of joy.
I stop for a small break and then immediately make my way down the hallway.
Since it's pitch black I have to feel the wall as I go so I can feel when I get to his room.
My strategy was amazing and I made it there in no time.
Giving myself a pat on the back, I stand on my knees and place my hands I n the doorknob.
Twist in it, I push open the door and enter Darks room.
I was almost afraid that I was in the wrong room until I felt the carpet.
It's soft and fluffy.
I smile, crawl across the floor and to his bed.
Next I stand in my knees again and turn on his bedside lamp.
The light blinds me for a moment, but I easily recover.
There on the bed he lays.
He looks so lifeless.
I nearly fall over as I see darkness retract from his skin.
It almost looked like a ton of black bugs running off of him.

He used a lot of magic like Anti did, right?
So is that him recharging his energy?
Does he feed off of the darkness.
That makes so much sense!
Dark!
He gets his energy from the darkness.
Wait...then I should probably turn the light back off.

I carefully pull myself up on to the bed and curl up next to him.
His body is cold like always.
I start to shiver when his body suddenly heats up.
I smile and cuddle up closer.
I then turn off the light; falling asleep.
