Y/n's POV

"Yeah, what's it to ya'?" The man growls from behind Dark.
He's not even looking at Mark because he's too busy glaring at Dark.
"Do-...do you know a woman named Mei?" Mark asks.
The man's eyes widen as he hears the name.
He steps out from behind Dark with a shocked expression.
When his eyes land on Mark he looks like he's going to cry.
"Mark?" The man asks.
"What the hell is going on?" Anti asks.
"I do not fucking care what is going on. I want you the hell out of my house!" Dark yells.
He then grabs onto the man's arm.
"Stop being so mean to tour own father!" Anti protests.
"Father?!" Mark, Seán, and I all question at the same time.
The room goes silent as our attention shifts to Mark, Dark, and this Derek man.
"Yeah he is my Dad and I want him the fuck out!" Dark pulls on the man's arm, but he just shrugs Dark off.
"How did you know my name?" Mark asks.
"You-....how did you get here?" Derek sounds in disbelief.
"My Mom told me to look for my Dad." He tells him. "A man by the name of Derek."
Dark's eyes widen.
"That's why you two look so similar?" I mumble to myself.
As he hears my voice, Derek turns to me.
"You," He says. "You're Nova's girl."
Now it's my turn to be shocked and confused.
"Where's Mei? Where's Nova?" He asks as he looks around.
"What's going on?" Dark finally calms down; his usual proper façade dropping.
"Mark is your twin brother." He tells us.
"Wait, what?" Jack asks.
"Yeah. I've known Dark my whole life amd never once have I met Mark." Anti points out.
"You're his Dad? That makes so much sense!" I say. "Everything is so much more clear now!"
Everyone looks at me.
"Mark told us about finding out his father was a Demon earlier, but now I understand."
I gesture everyone to follow me to the couches with a smile on my face.
I take a seat and begin to speak.
"Mei teaching me about the sky when Mark didn't want to learn, my mom wanting to keep me away." I say. "My mom didnt want Mark to meet you; did she?" I ask.
"And when Mark didn't want to learn she taught me so I could lead him here."
Derek chuckles.
"No." He continues to laugh.
My smile fades.
"Your mom always said that when you were born that she didnt want you to grow up around all of this." He tells me. "Also may I ask you what you mean by, 'the sky'?" He asks.
Dark and Anti lean in closer.
"Does this 'sky' ave something to do with why you dont know what some things are?" Anti asks.
I shrug.
"Mark, Jack, and I are all from a place called The Systems." I tell them.
"It's underneath us right now."
Derek, Anti, and Dark look at the ground.
"None of us even knew what Demons were down there. I think everyone is just now learning whats up here." Jack states. "I never knew of Demons until a few days ago."
Mark nods.
"I was terrified when i heard about Demons living above us. It was scary, but also odd considering what the Bible claims." Mark says.
"Anyways," I continue. "Tons of Humans live down there without even knowing that there even is an up here. We just ever called up there the sky because your world was our sky when we looked up." I tell them.
"The old Human sewer system." Both Dark and Derek say at the same time.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"Demons are from hell; like the Bible says." Derek says as he looks to Mark.
"But there was a war hundred of years ago that broke out amongst Humans. Us Demons took that opportunity to take over the Earth." Dark adds.
"How do you know this?" Derek asks him.
"An old book I found." He replies.
"So you guys enslaved us?" I question, horrified.
"Us? No. King Lucifer? Yes." Derek says.
"I didnt even know any of this." Anti admits.
"That's because the King doesn't want us to know." Dark says.
"Also how come we dont know about these systems existing?" Dark asks his dad.
"A good secret i guess. What I'm really confused about is as to why Nova and Mei went there." Derek says.
"Why?" Mark asks.
"Because they were suppose to go to a Human hide out and now also Demon rebel camp far away from here." He says.
I raise an eyebrow.
"Why?" I ask.
"Mei and Nova killed Nova's owner after he killed her husband."
I frown.
"Demons were already suspicious about Mark because he looked so much like a Human." He tells us.
"So I told Mei to take Mark and flee with Nova to the Human hideout i knew about. Apparently they somehow got to the old sewer system instead."
I look to Mark as he sighs.
"They would have been better off if they didn't go to The Systems." He says.
"Why?" Derek asks.
"Because they're probably going to be executed."
My eyes widen.
"WHAT?!" Both Derek and I yell.
I stand from the couch in a panicked state.
"We need to go help them!" I shout.
I'm about to rush out the room when I can't move.
"Sit back down Human." Dark tells me.
I glare at him.
"Why should I listen to you?!" I ask.
"Because if you don't then-"
"-Then what?!" I cut him off. "You'll kill me like you killed all those other innocent people?!"
Dark looks shocked.

I thought you were good.

I think, knowing that he'll hear it.
Dark just frowns and sits back down.
Im no longer frozen in place.
"Sit." Anti demands.
I do so without thinking about it.
"Dont use that controlling shit on me." I growl.
"We have to save them." Mark says, a look of desperation on his face.
"We can't." I say, finally being realistic.
"If we go back then we'll be killed too." Seán says.
I nod.
"Also any Demons down there and everyone will go into panic mode."
I look to everyone.
Dark isn't even paying attention.
"Of course someone as heartless as yoi wouldn't want to meet their own mother." I scoff.
Dark doesnt look up.

What an asshole.
