Y/n's POV

The purple and blue portal engulfs my entire body.
Once through, I face plant into the grimey bath tub.
Thats the last of worries right now though.
I roll over to my side.
My eyes trail down to my ankle.
They widen at the sight.
The bone is sticking out.
A large gust of wind comes from behind me.
I look to see the portal disappear.
Tears pour from my eyes.
Pain surges up my leg.
It feels like my ankle is pulsating.
"S-somone." I cry out.
I then remember something.

Dark, please.
Dark.

I inhale deeply.

Dark!

I continue to yell Dark's name in my head until darkness takes over my vision.

Dark's POV

"How did you and my Human meet?" I ask Mark.
He smiles.
"My-our mother is her mom's best friend." He corrects his words.
I nod and look at my hands.
"What about you?"
I sigh.
"She was getting chased by Human Catchers. I saved her from being put down." I tell him.
"Put down?" He sounds confused.
"Killed." His eyes widen.
"Oh-uh...thanks." I raise an eyebrow at him.
"For what? I have not done anything for you." I say.
Mark chuckles.
"If Y/n were to die then I don't know what I'd do with my life." He says.
I slightly smile.
"Me neither." I whisper to myself.
"What was that?" Mark's question startles me.
My expression goes back to emotionless.
"Nothing." I lie.
We both go silent.
"You don't seem so close to your-I mean our, dad."
I roll my eyes.
"Why is that?"
"None of your business." I growl.
"Sorry!" Mark throws his hands into the air.
"I just wanted to learn some stuff about him. You can't tell me that you aren't curious about our mom."
I slightly frown, but it disappears as soon as it's there.
"She left me behind for a reason." I say.
"She did." He agrees. "But the reason you think it is may be wrong."
I stare my...brother in the eyes.
"And why would that be?" I ask.
My usually unfeeling heart washes over with sadness.
"This is for you." Mark pulls something out of his pocket and slides it to me.
"What is this?"
I pick up the envelope with my name written in it in beautiful cursive.
"Why don't you open it and find out?" Mark suggests.
I nod and carefully open it.

After reading that I almost want to cry.
I set the letter down on the counter and try to regain my composure.
"What did it say?" Mark asks.
"That she loves me and thay she is terribly sorry for leaving me."
Mark smiles.
"We have to go ask our dad more about why she and I had to leave." He says.
I nod.
"I know."
Mark sighs.
"All we know is that our mom and
Y/n's mom killed someone. Also that someone was suspicious of us?" Mark says.
"We can-"

-rk!

I cut myself off and look all around us.
"What is it?" Mark asks.
"I thought that I had heard something." I say. "Anyways-"

-AR-!

I stand up and take another look around the room.
"Something wrong?"
"I-"

DARK!

Y/n's pained voice beams into my mind.

Y/n!

I yell back, panicked.
No response.
"She is in trouble." I say and head for the door.
"What? Who?" Mark follows.
As I try to connect with her, pain shoots through my ankle.
My eyes widen.
"Y/N!" I yell at him.
There's no time for the door.
My black bat like wings sprout from my back and I fly up and straight through the nearest window.
Somehow no glass cuts I to me.

Don't worry Y/n, I'm coming!

I fly as fast as I can all the way to where I feel her energy coming from.
Looking down, I see I'm above an abandoned suburbs.
I fly close to the roofs of the houses until I feel her inside of one.
I waste no time in barreling straight through the roof.
"Y/n!" I shout.
I'm in a hallway.
I go into the first door.
It's a bathroom.
A blue and purple aura still lingers.

Blue?

That's when I spot her.
She's on her side, passed out, in the dirty bath tub.
I rush over and pull her out.
As I hold her bridal style I notice something on her leg.
"Oh fuck." I mumble.
Part of her bone sticks out of her ankle.
I toss her backpack over my shoulder and go back out into the hall.
From there I fly back through the hole I made in the roof and back home.
"You're going to be okay Y/n." I promise as I make the journey back home.
"I'll heal you as soon as you wake up."
I smile at her peaceful expression.
"You did it. You got the Hell Blades you crazy Human."
A thick black tear slides down my cheek.
When I see the house I fly right back through the broken window.
"What the He-!" Anti cuts himself off as I land in the floor.
"What happened?" He rushes over.
"Broken ankle." I tell him.
"Let me take her. You need to save up your energy to heal her." He says.
"No. I must stay by her side!" I say.
Mark and Seán rush over.
"Wh-"
"Oh my god." Seán cover his mouth.
"Give her to me Dark." Anti demands.
"No!" I shout.
Anti sighs and shakes his head.
"I didn't want to do this."
He holds out his hand.
I can't move.
"AHHHHHHH!!" I scream and push against his magic.
Anti brings up his other hand too.
I push harder.
I notice his feet digging into the floor.
"Jack! Get Y/n! Mark the couch ready!"
Mark runs off.
As Seán comes closer I growl.
"StAy AwAy!"
He reaches for her.
I grow thorns all over my body except for the parts that are touch Y/n.
Jack hisses and pulls back his hand in pain.
I burst out with laughter.
But Jack then does something that I didn't expect.
He quickly reaches forward and plucks Y/n from my loosened grasp.
"[̲̅N̲̅][̲̅o̲̅][̲̅O̲̅][̲̅o̲̅][̲̅O̲̅]!!!"
Seán runs into the living room with
Y/n as I try my hardest to fight back against Anti.
"NOW MARK!" Anti yells.
I then feel something inserted into my neck.
My eyes widen.
Anti releases me and all my thrones retract.
I stumble forward a bit.
"Y/n." I mumble and try to walk.
I just fall to the ground.
"...Y-.../n...." I whisper before my whole world goes black.
