Those two years that Y/n couldn't wait to finally end, did. She was so excited to finally get out of her mother's home. Not only that, but she would be moving in with her best friend, Mark.
Over the two years she didn't see him all too often because he was busy with work and she was busy trying not to fail school. The last thing she needed was to fail and not be able to move out.
It's a stupid rule that they have in the systems; if you aren't finished with school then you're still considered a child. But she had passed.
Today her mom and other parents were suppose to buy they're children their first four walls to make their own livable home. For Y/n though, that wouldn't be happening. Her mother didn't even know she was moving in with Mark. She didn't need to be told anyways because Y/n was now starting her own life away from her mother.
  Finally.

Y/n's POV
(Eighteen Years Old)

The final bell I will ever hear while being a student in this stupid school rings. Everyone is filled with excitement as they run back to their homes to get they're first walls from their parents.
I, on the other hand, casually walked toward my home. Even though I wanted to hurry and pack so I could get to Mark's, I wanted to enjoy the last journey I would ever make to that retched place.
All around me kids my age screamed and shouted. A smile appeared on my face as I think about a new life that will be starting for me soon.
Then something hit me in the face like a brick.

It was a brick.

The last thing I see before blacking out is a large, red, brick flying at my face.

- - -

Chuckling. That's what wakes me up. My eyes shoot open to see who is making the sound.
"I...can't believe that......happened.." A voice I don't recognize says between laughs.
"Ugh." I groan while lifting my hand up to my forehead.
I can feel a huge lump on it.
"Don't laugh! That's rude!" Another male voice says.
"She's waking up! Shhhhh!" This time it's a girls voice.
"What happened?" I ask while looking at each person.

To my left stands a boy who looks like he's about to die from trying to hold in his laughter.
He has blonde hair and dirt brown eyes.
To my right is a girl. She looks concerned. She also has blonde hair, but with blue eyes.
Then in front of me a boy is kneeled down. He has brown eyes and jet black hair.

"You were hit in the face by a brick." The boy with jet black hair tells me. His voice is also accented. I'm not sure what accent it actually is though.
That's when the blonde haired boy looses his cool and just starts to laugh his a** off.
"Stop it!" The girl growls and shoves him, causing him to immediately stop.
"Dingus over here was messing around with a brick when he threw it at him," She gestures to the boy with black hair. "And he dodged it. Which is why you got hit." I nod, acting like I totally understand the situation.

Who just throws a brick at their friend?!

"Uh..yeah..." The blonde boy rubs the back of his head while looking down with a guilty expression.
"Oh, I-" I try and sit up only to fall back down in pain.
My head feels like I just got hit with a bri- oh wait..I did.....
"Woah there!" The girl says.
"Take it easy."
I chuckle.
"I have somewhere to be right now." I tell them, pain evident in my voice.
"We all have somewhere to go right now." The girl rolls her eyes.
"No, I need to pack. My brother is waiting for me to move in with him." I put my hand on my head as I slowly sit up.
"Can't live on your own huh." The blonde boy smirks before getting smacked on the back of the head by the girl.
"My life isn't really any of your business." I growl.
"Well, by your clothes I'm guessing your from the fourth quarter." Again, he gets smacked in the head. This time the smack was so loud that people around us stopped and stared for a while.
"Why don't you guys get home. I'll help her to where she's going so she isn't just sitting in the middle of the tunnel." The girl nods.
"Com'on Dingus." The girl grabs the blonde boy by the forearm and drags him away.
"I am so sorry about him." The black haired boy smiles as he stands up.
"It's fine." I glare in the direction that the blondes left in.
When I look back at the raven haired boy, he has his hand out.
I grab it, letting him pull me to my feet.

Once on my feet the world around me starts to spin and I feel like I'm about to fall back down.
"Woah!" The boy says and I feel his hands on my hips to steady me.
My vision focuses and the boy is about five inches away from my face.
"Okay!" I shout and jump back, out of his grasp.
"I think I'll be going now!" I try to take a step, only to almost fall and have the boy catch me again.
"I'm completely fine with that," He says. "but I think you need some help." He laughs.
I can feel my face flush red.
"Whatever," I mumble. "I live that way." I point in the direction of the fourth quarter.
"So you do live in the fourth quarter?" He asks as we slowly make our way down the tunnel.
"Y-yeah." I stutter.
"So does my boyfriend!" He smiles.
"Really?" I ask as we grow closer to the fourth quarter.
"Yeah, maybe you know him. If not I can introduce you two some time." I smile.
"I would love that." I say as we reach my mother's house.
"I never got your name. Mine's
Y/n." I tell him.
"Oh! My mistake. I'm Phil."
