I am so sorry that this week's chapter is so short.
I promise that the next one will be longer and actually interesting.
Again, I'm sorry.
I hope you still enjoy this chapter anyways!

Y/n's POV

What the fuck am I going to do?!
I can't marry that asshole!
Not only is he going to kill my mom and Mei, but he was like a father to me when I was younger!

I gag at the thought of marrying him.
I'm shoved forward and almost trip on a stair.
"Move faster. We don't have all day." The Protector growls.
We make it to the top of the staircase and head down the hallway.
The Protector ushers me into the first room on the right.
I stumble into the room, nearly falling to the floor.
I manage to catch myself and look around.

There, in the room, sits a woman. As she turns around to face me I'm filled with awe. Her hair is a deep black color and her eyes are a vibrant blue. I feel my mouth hang open at the sight of her.

Who is she?

A woman as beautiful as her must be of high importance.

"Come."
Her voice is soft as she gestures for me to go towards her.
I do as told.
"Turn."
I turn around and feel the restraints fall off my wrists.
"Thanks Miss." I say, facing her once more.
She doesn't respond.
All the woman does is look up at my face.
It seems like she's looking through me though and not at me.
"Miss? Are you okay?"
She blinks a few times before nodding.
"Take off clothes." She says.
I awkward start to take off my bloody shirt and ripped pants.
The woman then stands from her chair and helps me into the bathtub.
"What's your name?" I ask as she squirts some shampoo into her hands.
"

Mila." She says as she begins to scrub the shampoo into my hair.
"That's a pretty name."
Mila's once stone face curves into a small smile.
"Are you a maid?" I ask.

There's no way she could be a maid.
Any woman with such beauty would surely be wedded to one of the highest men.

"I-uh...guess now."
I raise an eyebrow at her.
"Now?"
Mila sends me a sad glance.
"You know toady is?" She flips the conversation.
"That 'ceremony'." I scoff.
"Not worried?"
I shake my head.
"I have a plan to get everyone of here."
Mila walks over to the other side of the room and retrieves a towel.
"Everyone who?"
I smile at her.
"My friends and I are going to get everyone in The Systems to The Sky." I tell her. "You can come too!"
She shakes her head.
"Confidence nice. Need for marriage."
"Im not getting married to Moskoff." I say. "My boyfriend will probably set him on fire when he finds out."
Mila shakes her head.
"Idea bad. Better this way."
I stand up and get out the bath where Mila drys me off.
As she does this I notice a wedding ring on her finger.
"Who's the lucky man?" I gesture to the ring.
Mila looks down at it and smiles sadly.
"No one. Left."
I frown.
"I'm so sorry. He must be a complete idiot for leaving you."
Mila stays silent before turning around.
She walks over to a large wardrobe and opens it up.
"Who was he? If you don't mind. me asking." I add.
Mila walks back over to me with a beautiful white dress in hand.
It's long and flowy with lace around the chest and as sleeves.
A wedding dress.
"Game."
My eyes widen as she tells me this.
"Game Moskoff?" I say in disbelief.
"So he was married to you?"
She nods.
"I-...I knew he had a wife."
I frown once more.
"I knew I saw you."
Mila looks up at me with confusion in her eyes.
"No one see. How you?" She's flustered.
"When I was little I ran up to your guys' carriage."
Her eyes widen.
"I was calling out for him."
Tears well-up in her eyes.
"You say Dad."
I nod.
"He was with my Mom."
Mila quickly wipes away her tears.
"Put on. Was mine."
Mila quickly helps me into the beautiful dress.
I feel so uncomfortable in it.
Not because it's uncomfortable, but because I know that if this doesn't go right, then I'll married off to that asshole.
"Was....was he nice to you?"
I'm concerned that she's been abused by him their whole marriage.
"Game good man. Now not know doing. Lost." She tells me.
"Forgot what fighting."
Suddenly the door bursts open.
"Are you done with her yet?" The gruff voiced Protector growls.
Mila nods.
"Done."
The Protector speed walks over and cuffs my hands together, in front of me this time.
"Let's go." He pushes me towards the door.
I stumble out and another Protector starts to lead me away.
"Talk to the next one and you'll be added to the roster of executions." I hear gruff guy tell her.
I can't help but feel bad for that poor woman as I'm ushered off down the hallway.
