Y/n's POV
(Continuation of Chapter Two)"Mark! Y/n!" Mark's mom calls to us from their house.
We've been playing tag for the last couple of hours and I'm guessing it must be time for me to go home. We reluctantly wave bye to the other kids and walk back to his house.
"It's pretty late Y/n." His mom tells me and I nod.
"Yeah, I should head home before my mom sends out a search party." They laugh.
"See ya' Yarny." I hug Mark.
"See ya' Markimoo."
We let go of each other and I wave to them before walking back to my very small home.
As it comes into view I see a patch of light on the ground again. Looking up, I see that same meal thing from when I was younger. I feel tempted to climb up the yellow bars again, but stop myself. That last thing I need is for my mom to scold me again."Hey mom." I greet her while entering the house.
"You're on time." She doesn't look up from sweeping the floor.
"Didn't want to make you mad."
She looks up at me and then to the choker around my neck.
Her face begins to contort into an angered expression that looks terrifying.
"Where did you get that?!" She asks, pouting to the choker.
"Mark bought it for me." I smile and put my hand on it.
I blink and suddenly she's right in front of my face. Shocked, I fall back a bit. Out of nowhere she grabs hold of it and rips it off my neck.
"WHAT THE HECK?!" I yell as she throws it on the ground, a few of the plastic f/c gems falling off.
"You broke it!" I start to kneel down and reach for it when her foot stomps onto it.
"NOOOOO!" I scream as she stomps it into the concrete ground over and over again.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Tears start to pour down my face.
Finally she stops and gives me a stern and very angry look.
"Stay away from Mark." She tells me.
"What?" I ask and wipe away my tears.
"I said to stay away from Mark!" She raises her voice.
"What did he do?!" I'm totally confused.
"Do you not see what he just gave you?!" She asks.
"Stay away from him!"
I stare at her speechless. How could she do that?
He spent so much money on something ancient for me.
How am I going to explain to him that she ripped it off of me and broke it?Tears start to pour down my face again. I don't say anything to her at all before stomping away to my room that is only big enough to fit an uncomfortable bed.
I slam the slab of wood that divides my small room from the living as hard as I can. A small crack forms in the corner.
Tears won't stop falling down my face. She just broke something that meant a lot to me.
Mark has always been sort of an older brother and it meant everything to me that he bought something like that. She knows him and I are very close, everyone here does. I just can't believe she did something like that. I lay on my uncomfortable bed and stare at the dark ceiling.
My body tries to get comfortable with no luck. My hands glide across my face every few seconds to wipe away the tears. Why?
Is the last thing I think as I fall asleep.
Dark's POV
(Continuation of Chapter Three)Anti and I decided to walk to his house instead of teleporting. His green smoke still kind of kills us each time.
"Welcome to my home." He says as we enter his house.
It's pretty small compared to the large one I live in with my father.
Most of my time is spent in Anti's home though because I can't stand being home when my father is. The last thing I need in my life is for my father to scold me about something stupid.
"You say that like I'm not here everyday." I laugh and plop on his couch.
"You're right." He takes a seat next to me.
We stay silent for a while, just starring at the wall.
"Do you ever feel like you've lived before?" I look to my right and give him a confused look.
"What do you mean exactly?" I ask.
"Well, sometimes I'll be sitting here and it feels like I remember something that never actually happened to me." He says.
"I think I have felt that before." I tell him.
"It's so weird. I can faintly remember a damp, dark room. I'm not the only one there though. There is also a girl who I can't really see her features." I lean in closer, interested.
"It's just all blurry. I think her name started with a K or J, bit that could be entirely wrong." I nod.
"Anyways!" He jumps off the couch excitedly.
"You said you'd teach me to do all that talking in other peoples mind stuff." I laugh.
"I'll teach you that. Then maybe later how to read minds." His eyes go wide.
"YOU CAN DO THAT?!" Green oozes out of his eye.
"Yes I can." Holding out my hand, a tissue appears and I give it to him.
"Thanks."
He wipes away all of the green before setting the tissue on fire.
"Now teach me your ways oh so great Dark!" I chuckle and stand from the couch.
"Okay, okay." Snapping my fingers, my spell book appears.
It's not one of those spell books we're given at school. This one is super ancient. It's made of black leather and each page is super old. There is even a weird symbol carved into it.
"Now first I want you to close your eyes." Anti does so.
"Think of what you want to say and imagine crumpling it up into a ball and throwing it at my head." He nods and stays silent.
"Keep what you want to say short." I tell him.
We stand there for around ten minutes before in the back of my mind I hear a very quiet,Hi
I smile widely.
Hello.
Anti's eyes shoot open and he stares at me.
"Did I do it?!" He asks with lots of energy.
"Yes, now let's work on making your voice more clear and then you can practice more. The more you practice it, the easier it is to do." The smile on his face is huge.
"I'M READY!!!!" He yells.
I chuckle.
"Then let's do this.
