"Weren't you supposed to give this back?" Ashton grumbled, my eyes glancing over at him in the corner of my room. He had Savannah held in one hand, his eyebrow raised skeptically.

"Yeah." I chuckled, tossing my deodorant into my bag. "I told my teacher I lost it."

"Why?"

"Because..." I started, trailing off as I realized just how stupid it sounded. "because it was the only thing that I had that really reminded me of her." I whispered, cringing as he let out a loud laugh.

"You are so whipped."

"Yes... yes I am." I said, not even trying to argue with him. He continued to laugh at me as I walked over to him, taking Savannah out of his arms and placing her back on my desk. I had to admit it was a little weird having a baby doll in my room, but it was the only thing that she had left behind that could have connected me to her. Other than the note.

"And your teacher didn't fail you for 'losing' the doll?"

"Nah." I mumbled, chuckling lightly. "I started crying as I told him and I think he felt bad for me." I glanced one more time at the damn babydoll... who would've guessed that a piece of plastic would bring two best friends back together? I know for damn sure if you told me that any of this was going to happen at the beginning of the semester I wouldn't have believed you.

"What time is her mum picking you up again?"

"Uh... in like four hours." I said, glancing at the clock to read 6 am. I hadn't been able to sleep, had barely been able to stop moving since her mum finally told me where the hell she was. I was completely restless. I needed to get to her as soon as possible, yet as soon as possible wasn't soon enough.

"And your mum has no problem with you going?"

"No... because I haven't told her."

"What?" Ashton spit out, eyes wide as his head snapped towards me. "You leave in four hours and you have not told Liz that you are, not only leaving Sydney, but leaving the country?" He asked bewildered. I shrugged my shoulders.

"She can yell at me when I get back."

"Why don't you just tell her?"

"Because." I huffed, beginning to pace around my room. "She won't let me go... and I don't have the time to argue with her... I need to go see her Ash, you know I do."

"I know." He mumbled, his eyes following me as I continued to take small steps around my room. I kept feeling like I was forgetting something, but I could not figure it out for the life of me. "How long are you guys going to be gone?"

"I have no idea." I answered honestly. "I'm staying as long as I need to... I'm gonna bring her back." I said, not sure if I was trying to convince him or myself. I wanted her to come back home, but I knew that she didn't want that... or at least she didn't before, maybe things have changed. "I'm sure Sara will be back within a week." I told him, quickly catching on to what he was getting at. I knew he would never admit it, but he was worried about her.

Both Sara and I had been crying when we got back into Ashton's car, my hand gripping a copy of the flight itinerary tightly. Sara had told them what Lily said, and that we would both be flying out to go see her. I could see it in his eyes as soon as she said it that he didn't want her to go. I wasn't sure if he just didn't want to be that far away from her or he was afraid that he wouldn't be there for her while we were so far away.

"She said she's nervous." Ash spoke softly, a sadness taking over his eyes that I had never seen in him before.

"I am too."
