When my mother left for work, I wasted no time walking over to Zach's house. I needed to see him now more than ever since I was going to be leaving in only a few more days. I still can not believe my mom was sending me off to live in Atlanta, that was the last place I wanted to be. Miami was the only home I ever known and it hurt me that I had to leave everything and everyone behind.

"Hey hun", Miss Julie cheerfully greeted me at the door. "After what happened the other day I didn't think I'd ever see you here again."

I sniffed and wiped tears from my eyes. "She's making me move Miss Julie and it sucks cause I don't want to go", I choked out. "It's killing me that I have to leave Zach and I don't know how I'm going to tell him."

She shook her head with sympathetic eyes. "Ohh..sweety", she whispered, holding her chest. "This is really gonna break Zach's heart. He really likes you."

"I know...I love him", I admitted to her.

She gave me a warm smile. "I know, I can tell."

A brief silence came between us.

I could see it in her eyes that it was killing her that I wouldn't be around anymore. Throughout these past six months, we developed this great strong bond and she was literally like a second mom to me.

She rubbed my shoulders. "Well, you're more than just my son's girlfriend. You're like a daughter to me, I'll always be there for you. Always remember that I'm only one phone call away." She slid her hands down from my shoulders and tightly squeezed my hand. "Zach's in his room honey." She walked away to the kitchen.

I opened Zach's room door to see him sitting on his bed playing his Xbox. When he saw me he paused his game and gave me his undivided attention.

He stared into my eyes, his blue orbs piercing through my soul like they always did. "So what's up? I been blowing up your phone ever since you left that morning."

I stared at my sneakers, nervous about the news I was going to break to him. "I know. My mom took my phone away."

"Fuck man!" he spat. "Bae how am I suppose to call you now if she took your shit? This is fucked up man." He shook his head. "It's cool though, I'll just get you a new one."

"Zach, that's not the worse part...she's making me move to Atlanta."

There was silence for a few minutes.

I looked over at him, and I've never seen him look this devastated and hurt.

"So its like that? She just go take you away from me?"

I didn't say anything as I wiped the tears falling from my eyes.
