Tom never dreaded a day of interviews more than he did the day after Kat left Toronto suddenly.

The last thing he wanted to do was act happy in front of reporters when the last thing he was was happy.

How could he when his day so far consisted of screaming matches with Kat on the phone.

[Tom: bold,
Kat: regular]

"You left me! Not the other way around!"

"I left because you were all over Danielle!"

"I was fucking acting, Katalina, give me a break."

"Don't you fucking curse at me."

"Then stop acting like a child!"

"So now I'm acting like a child?! Fuck you, Tom!"

"Yeah, you're really not acting like a child."

"You know... we've never fought before her..."

"And there you go placing the blame on Danielle again. If this is anyone's fault, it's yours."

"Whatever, Tom. Listen, don't call me again. I don't want to speak to you at all."

"Kat, cmon-"

"Goodbye, Tom."

He hated how drastically their relationship changed in a matter of a day but he couldn't exactly do anything about it when he was in Toronto and she was all the way in California.

Part of him wanted to get on the first flight to California but then the other part, the more stubborn side, didn't want to make the effort to see her when he felt like she was the one in the wrong.

He instead found himself taking it out on everyone else, which he knew wasn't good but he couldn't help it, no matter how much dirty looks he was getting from Laura throughout the day.

"Hey, are you okay?" Danielle frowned, placing a hand on his shoulder, "You've seemed on edge the whole day."

"I'm fine," Tom faked a smile, getting out of her grip, "Just tired. I couldn't really sleep last night."

"Oh. Why?"

'Because she left suddenly, and technically because of you,' Tom thought, only to say out loud, "It was a cold night."

"Oh cmon, Tommy, you're supposed to be better than that. We're from England for gods sake," Danielle giggled, grabbing a hold of his shoulder again.
