Tom pushed all thoughts of work to the side after Thanksgiving- or at least, he was trying really hard.

Luckily he found it easier with Christmas finally coming around, giving him the perfect distraction for sometime focusing on one of their favorite holiday.

"Merry Christmas Eve, my loves!"

Kat was a smiling mess as she peered down at the twins who had just woken up and were looking up at their excited parents confused.

"You think they know today's a special day?"

"I mean, we're wearing Santa hats and we're gonna dress them up all cute then everyone's coming over..."

The two played rock paper sisters when they noticed Mateo started to get fussy and when Kat won, she picked him up carefully, cooing at her son, "You're going to see your cousin Lauren and your god mommy Alex again. Are you excited?"

"Just as excited as Theo is to see her godmother and godfather. God, I love that they're bringing their families to celebrate with us."

"This is a special Christmas. It's their first one- of course they aren't going to miss it... it's just gonna suck next year when we're not all together.

"Why wouldn't we all be together?" Tom frowned as he now picked Theo up and walked with Kat to the bathroom.

"Because they're not going to be able to fly out here every year. My family wouldn't be wble to afford if. Ellen and Robert can't just abandon their families every year and-"

"We'll fly out to them."

"What?"

"Yeah," Tom smiled, "My family likes flying out, making a trip out of it. Plus, the twins need to get in touch with their New York side, don't they?"

"I... I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything. I can tell how sad you've been, not being with your family. I want to help in anyway I can."

"You're like the best husband ever," Kat beamed, kissing him quickly.

"Aw, that's all I get?" Tom pouted.

"We get them washed and dressed and then I thank you properly," Kat smirked, winking at him.

Tom gulped as he looked down at Theo, "Your mum's a little tease, isn't she?"
