Pulling away from the intense kiss, Tom smiled down at Kat, "I can't believe we actually did it."

"Me either- but I don't regret it at all. I mean, here we are in this beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere with our amazing little Tessa enjoying some time off- and I haven't mentioned the kids once."

"Except you just did," Tom teased, leaning down to kiss her once again, bringing her closer.

Kat kissed him back momentarily before pulling away, "I'm just- I'm glad your family didn't judge us for leaving the second we got back."

"Why would they judge us? They're happy if anything that they get some alone time with the kids- and that we actually stayed away instead of coming back the first night."

"Ugh, that was so hard."

"I know. But we got through it. Look at us now, Tessa's fast asleep in our room with all her new toys and we're here in front of the fireplace, making love-"

"Ew," Kat giggled, pushing him away slightly, "Making love? Okay grandpa."

Tom gasped, leaning in to kiss her again.

By the time they woke up the next afternoon, the two were on a high, finding themselves not wanting to even get up from their makeshift bed- even if their phones kept ringing nonstop.

"Why do people always insist on ruining our only alone time?" Tom groaned, burying his head in her neck.

"Cause they don't want us to actually enjoy marriage."

"Well, I don't know about you but I'd say I enjoy marriage."

Kat only laughed when Tom leaned in to kiss her again, completely ready to ignore the phone calls when his phone went off again, making him groan as he got up to answer it.

"Ugh, what Harry?"

"So like... I don't want you guys to freak out."

"That's not exactly reassuring," Tom immediately stiffened up, which had Kat sitting up too worriedly as she looked at him.

"What's wrong?"

"Mateo had an allergic reaction."

"What the hell do you mean an allergic reaction? He's not allergic to anything?"

"I don't know! One minute he's fine then the next he's breathing funny and has hives and-"

"Tom," Kat grew teary eyed, unsure of what was happening and feeling her hear race now getting an explanation.

"Babe, get dressed. Apparently Mateo had an allergic reaction."

"What'd they give him?" she asked worriedly, still getting dressed nonetheless.

Tom struggled to get his own clothes on while trying to hold the phone to his ear, "What'd you give him?"

"Just a little bit of almond cake."
