Tom found himself distracted for the rest of the reception.

When Zendaya's aunts jokingly asked when he was next, he wanted to badly to say really soon but Kat brushed them off, not even letting Tom talk about it when she left his side to attend to some maid of honor duties.

He thought for sure her mind would change on the topic when she was the one who caught Zendaya's bouquet (Alex claimed it was too cheesy and just gave her bouquet to Darnell) but she simply said it was a coincidence.

"Z was throwing it straight and she has a strong throw- it was bound to go in my direction."

So now Tom sat at their table with the bouquet in front of them while Kat spoke to some guests.

"You look miserable," Felicity giggled, finally putting her phone down from taking multiple pictures of him.

"Why would I be miserable? My girlfriend who once put everything up to fate and wanted nothing more than for me to propose to her is now saying things are coincidental and doesn't want me to propose."

"Hey! Kat never said she didn't want you to propose! She just said don't propose today."

"If not today, when?"

"Literally any other day," Harrison huffed, "Jesus, why do you have to make this so difficult?"

Tom only stared at Harrison when Felicity nudged him softly.

"How are you going to do it anyway?"

"Well, it's going to be us two, obviously-"

"What about her family?"

"Um... what about them?"

"You wouldn't want them there?"

"Uh... maybe? I don't know."

"Well, what did they say about the whole proposal?"

Tom cleared his throat nervously, "Um... nothing?"
