"You're getting so close."

Kat smiled proudly at the new mark Tom traced on their wall, the multiple lines coming out exactly how she envisioned it.

"Are you scared at all?" she whispered to Tom who smiled softly and nodded.

"I'd be lying if I said no. Of course I'm scared but Kat- I'm also excited. We're going to be parents- we're starting our beautiful family."

"Ye-yeah. Our family."

"Are you still scared?" Tom frowned, "Cause darling, you have no reason to be. You're going to be an incredible mother."

"Yeah... you're forgetting about the part where I'm going to be in immense pain and the twins are going to squeeze out of a hole that's never been stretched out that far-"

"Okay. I got it. Birth is gonna suck."

"Hell yeah it is."

"Knock knock," Magdalena smiled as she walked into the living room.

"Look at the wall ma," Kat said proudly.

"I know," she sighed happily as she went over to her daughter, "You're almost there mija."

"Yeah. It's crazy I... I feel like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant yet here we are now..."

"You're going to be a mom. And you, Tom, a dad. Which, speaking of..."

Kat only looked at her mother confused when her father walked through the door.

"Daddy!" she gasped, quick to run to hug him.

Tom and Magdalena smiled at the scene, Jorge holding his daughter close while she happily hugged him.

"I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you too, sweetheart."

"What are you doing here?" she smiled when she pulled away.

"I had to see you. I missed you too much. I never appreciated your sisters living in Manhattan more than I do now. Did you really have to move out here?"

"Yes dad," she rolled her eyes playfully, "You wanted to give us the best life in New York and I want to give my babies their best life here."

"Uh huh. How are they doing by the way?" Jorge asked, his eyes trailing down to her stomach.

"Great. They're growing so fast- did you get the sonogram I sent you?"

"I have it hung up," he smiled proudly.

"I expected nothing less."

"Thomas. You have been taking care of my girl and grand babies, right?"

"Yes, sir. With my life."

Kat couldn't help but roll her eyes when they shook hands, "You two do realize I can take care of myself, right?"
