"Tom! Are they dressed yet?!"

"Yes, love! They're just having tummy time right now."

Kat smiled to herself, shaking her head as she continued to cook with Magdalena and Nikki's help.

"When is your family arriving?"

"Any minute now," Magdalena sighed, "So we better hurry up."

Magdalena was right.

In a matter of minutes they heard the doorbell ring multiple times when Tom failed to get up to answer it immediately, needing to take the twins with him so they could see their cute faces.

They did not disappoint and Kat couldn't help but smile more hearing her family coo at them and talk about how cute they were.

"I made them," she smiled proudly at her mother who rolled her eyes playfully.

"And I made you- so by default, I made them."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, mother," Kat giggled when suddenly the girls came in, all smiling messes when they brought the youngest Perez into their arms.

"God, it feels so weird not having you back home."

"Yeah," Karmen agreed, "It's like I have these random days where I just wanna pop in on my little sis- see what she's up to but I can't do that unless I buy an entire plane ticket just to see you."

"I know. It feels weird sometimes for me too, not being able to just call you all over for a girls night."

"So you should just move back home," Alex said as if it were the most obvious thing.

"I can't do that and you know it. Besides... this is my home now. Tom and the kids."

"The kids," Kris sighed happily, "It's so crazy to think how grown-up you are."

"Oh shut up- and where is my god baby by the way?"

"Being showered with love from her godfather."

"Dammit! Tom! We agreed not to make her have favorites!"

The girls smiled as they watched her storm off when Magdalena suddenly turned to her daughters and daughter in law.

"¿Le vas a contar sobre el año que viene?"

(Are you going to tell her about next year?)

"Todavía no, mamá."

(Not yet, mama.)

Nikki gave them a confused look but didn't question it anymore when the girls spread out, all trying to help in their own way no matter how much Kat tried to protest when she returned.
