The only time Tom ever thought Kat was seriously considering divorcing him was when she found out baby number four was actually baby number four and five and Tom continued his joke of 'can we name them Peter and Parker'.

The second time was when Kat had just given birth to babies number four and five and was at home resting with them when she got the call that Tom never picked up the twins from school.

Tom thought nothing of it as he walked into their home carrying Kat's favorite flowers, something he had been doing weekly, only to stop seeing her sitting in the living room with a stern look on her face.

"Oh fuck, what did I do?"

Kat remained calm though as she stayed seated, "How many children do you have, Thomas?"

Tom knew that by her calling him Thomas that he was in trouble, "Um... five?"

"Correct- and what do those five kids do everyday?"

"Well," Tom began, setting her flowers to the side, "I can only imagine the boys poop and eat all day, Rory remains the angel she's always been and goes to her adorable little ballerina classes and Matt and Theo go to school like the angels they are."

"Right again. Now, tell me, who picks them up from school?"

"We take turns but ever since you've given birth- oh no."

"I take it you finally realized your mistake?"

"I- I need to go before it gets any later!"

"I'm not you, Tom. I don't leave our children unattended- even if I did struggle getting two newborns and a three year old in a car to go to school all by myself."

"I'm so sorry, baby," Tom sighed, taking a seat, "I don't know how it slipped my mind."

"It's not me you have to apologize. You talk to the boys for exposing them to the outside world even though they haven't had the chance to get their vaccinations yet, Rory for cutting her ballet short and the twins who, after you reassured them nothing would change when their new baby brothers came, forgot all about them in school, making them devastated and crying all day in their rooms."

"Fuck," Tom mumbled, placing his head in his hands as Kat stood up.

"That all being said, you're staying up with the babies tonight. I'll be sleeping with Rory."

Tom stayed silent as Kat walked off, him not being able to sleep the entire night at the thought of the twins being so upset all day they couldn't stop crying.
