"You know, I'm really pissed at you?"

"Really? I didn't notice," Tom mumbled sarcastically, finishing his glass of lemonade.

"I mean, I worked so damn hard to get Kat to be a little more comfortable leaving the kids and then you go blame her for something she had no control over-"

"You don't think I know that, Nate?" Tom glared at him, "I feel like shit for what I said to her but there's nothing I can do."

"Have you tried apologizing?"

"Of course I have. She said she forgives me- even though I know she definitely doesn't."

"It's not you she doesn't forgive," Felicity rolled her eyes as she joined them, "It's herself she can't forgive."

"But she did nothing wrong!"

"Try telling that to Tommy boy here."

"I said I was-"

"Guys!"

Tom had to admit he felt his heart drop hearing Kat call for them, knowing the twins were with her.

It wasn't just her either, it was anyone who was alone with the twins.

He found himself more cautious about just who to leave them with- and even couldn't help but call every hour if he was forced to leave them with someone else.

"Look," Kat beamed though when they joined her, "Mateo's standing all on his own."

"Wow," Tom smiled brightly, already taking his camera out, "He's really hanging in there."

"This is the longest he's- Theodora!"

Mateo sat on the floor crying after Theo pulled him down, confused as to why he brother was even standing in the first place- or why the attention was all on him.

Nate couldn't help but burst out laughing, "She is so your child, Kat."

"Shut up," Kat smiled while helping soothe Mateo.

Tom chuckled a bit when he noticed Mateo wouldn't stop crying, putting his camera away and reaching out to him, "Here, babe. I got him."

"I got him," Kat frowned at him, obviously offended as she got up, "What? I don't know how to soothe my own child now?"

"That's not what I-"

"I'm gonna take him upstairs- as long as that's okay with you?"

Tom only sighed while Kat walked off, leaving Nate and Felicity to look at him sympathetically.
