"What the hell do you mean you haven't gone to the doctors since the first time you went?!"

Kat winced, taking the phone away from her ear momentarily before bring it back and saying slowly, "We've just been busy, ma. Moving into a new house is no joke-"

"Le juro por Dios que si no hace una cita con el doctor para hoy, voy-"

"Ya, mom. I'll set one up right now, don't worry."

Kat ignored her mom's curses in Spanish, saying her rushed goodbyes before going back to join Tom who was now standing alone after directing the movers what to do with their things.

"They said everything should be moved in within the next two hours. And I also called the doctor who luckily has an appointment open in an hour and mum said she had no problem staying here with the movers."

"Thank god," Kat sighed as she grabbed her bag, "Mom's probably gonna want picture proof that we went."

"I don't get what the big deal is," Tom pouted, "It's hasn't been that long since we had the last doctor's appointment. Surely, we have more than enough time to go to the doctor."

"Mom's very strict about regularly scheduled appointments, even when there weren't babies involved."

"I get that, trust me, I was always going to make you go to the appointment but with finishing the movie, trying to get you through the dual citizenship process and moving here-"

"Hey, you didn't have to make me do anything. I'm my own person. Just cause there are babies in me, doesn't mean you have to treat me like one."

"Well," Tom began, only earning a look from Kat, making him laugh as they walked outside and he opened the car door for her, "Don't worry, love. We'll get you a nice snack after."

"Can I-"

"No McDonalds."

"But Tommy!" she whined when he closed the door.

She watched him smile to himself as he walked around the front of the car to get into the driver's seat.

"I'm already in enough shit for not taking you to the doctor the second we got back from our honeymoon, no way am I risking it by letting you have McDonalds again."

"Mom won't know!"

"She always finds a way," Tom sighed, driving off, "And I really don't need her to call me yelling."

"Scaredy cat," Kat mumbled, only earning a look from Tom before he focused on the road again.

When they got to the doctor's office, Kat sighed seeing the reply from her mother after sending a picture of the waiting room.
