One-Year Anniversary

My eyes opened to an empty bed no sign of Adrian and Shawn. I rubbed my eyes and stretched and rolled to get out of bed and my eyes landed on the vanity mirror. A red heart balloon was there and the biggest bouquet of roses I have ever seen in my life, it was enormous and was placed on the floor.

It was our first anniversary.

My heart melted at the roses and the heart balloon, it was so cute.

I took a sniff of the roses before making my way out of the bedroom and to the living room where I could hear noise coming from. "Look who's here Adrian" Shawn says facing Adrian towards me.

A smile played on my face before I walked over to Shawn and placed a kiss straight on to his lips.

"Happy anniversary" I mumbled against his lips before pulling away. But he stood up with Adrian in on hand and held my face in the other pressing another kiss to my lips.

"Happy anniversary babe!" He says excitedly.

"So I know we agreed on now presents but I had to buy you the roses. Also I'm taking you out for breakfast and Adrian will be coming too, so go and get ready, take all the time you need" he says hugging me.

I smiled before going to get ready. I made sure I got fully ready for today. I had a nice warm shower, shaved everything and cleaned up properly. I did my makeup and hair before wearing a light pink coloured dress that Shawn choose and left on the bed for me to wear.

I changed into the dress checking my hair wearing my necklace before I went back into the living room.

"Oh my God, you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen" Shawn says as he comes into view with Adrian.

"Thank you" I blush before he leans down to kiss my lips.

"Can you take Adrain while I get ready?" Shawn asks and I nod taking Adrain into my arms.

"Hi my baby, oh don't you look cute. Daddy put on a good outfit for you even though it is a bit too big for you" I smiled and I kissed him and cuddled him in my arms.

While Shawn was getting ready I was feeding Adrian as I rested in the couch. I played with Adrian's fingers just thinking about life and how so much has changed in almost year.

I was just a depressed and lonely girl last year. And now I'm sitting in my home, cuddling my baby with my husband in the other room.

A year has drastically changed my life for the better.

The bedroom door opened and Shawn wore a white button-up shirt with black jeans. "You look handsome" I complimented and a blush flushed on to his cheeks.

Shawn pushed the stroller and I had my arm linked with one of his as we walked down to a nice French cafe down the street for breakfast.

We were served and were seated in a corner booth of the quiet cafe. "This is nice and it smells amazing" I say sniffing the air of warm delicious baked treats.

"I'm starving I can't wait to eat some of this" he says looking at the menu. We both ended up ordering the classic croissants and chocolate filled croissants.

I sipped my strawberry milkshake eating the delicious croissants. "This is delicious, just as I expected" I say letting the chocolate melt into my mouth.
