It was easy for the young brunette to fall asleep in class. It was something that happened all the time, but was never noticed. Nobody really paid any attention to the girl, except the teachers who would startle her awake once in a while. Other than that, the girl somehow always managed to drift off. The teen was sleep deprived, not having a good night's sleep in the past 12 months. She was exhausted.

It was the last class of the day, students becoming anxious to go home or do whatever they did when school was let out. Of course, Luna sat in the back, lightly sleeping with her face buried in the nest of her arms. Not a single soul even acknowledged her presence or even knew that the girl was even there.

It was difficult for Luna to stay awake in class. The only time she was able to sleep without any sort of fear was during school hours. However, she couldn't do that without the risk of getting in trouble with the teachers or administrators, but Luna couldn't help it.

"Alright." The overly loud English teacher spoke, clapping her hands together to gain everyone's attention. Luna awoke from her short slumber and quickly perked up in her seat, hoping nobody noticed her light snores, which was unlikely anyways.

"You all know how I love the source of communication to be brought upon this class." She stated, smiling as students rolled their eyes, including Luna.

Luna Pearce despised her English teacher's way of social techniques when it came to her peers. The group of students were forced to talk to people outside of who they usually associated themselves with. Almost every assignment had something to do with communicating with another person, and Luna hated it. Her unusual teacher was all about making friends and being kind, which was annoying to Luna, and a lot of other students. This was high school, no one wanted to speak to anyone they didn't want to speak to.

"So we're going to be doing something a little different." The teacher quirked. "This time it's going to be a fun little project."

Luna's heart began to race, something it always did when she was forced to talk to somebody new. She hated partnership as it is, but a project? That requires a bit more time to complete, which meant that she was also going to be forced to spend even more time with whoever she would be working with.

"Don't worry, it's an easy project." The older lady smiled. "Pick a novel, any novel that speaks to you the most. I don't want a background summary, just give me clean information and your knowledge on it. Explain why that specific novel or playwright interests you the most and how it reflects on your everyday life. Create a poster with images, thoughts, and evidence regarding your views." She explained. "Easy right? I thought I should give you all a break from the loads of heavy material we've been tackling lately. So I'm sure you'll manage with this assignment."

Luna cringed.

What kind of assignment is that?

She didn't want to reflect a novel on her everyday life. Luna hated her life, plain and simple. She had no interest in getting a grade for her disheartening lifestyle.
