Peter couldn't stop thinking about his odd encounter with Rick.

The whole thing was bugging him, and he couldn't stop thinking about it throughout the entire night. The boy couldn't sleep, his mind being consumed by raging thoughts of Rick. Seeing him made Peter feel all sorts of confused. He had no idea why Rick was standing in that alley in the first place, and the boy hadn't been able to stop thinking about the entire thing.

Peter barely got any sleep, and his alarm was suddenly going off like crazy.

He was in a weird mood all day, but the boy hoped that he wasn't making anything too obvious whenever he was with Luna. Peter didn't want her to question anything, so he tried his best to not seem bothered.

The day was going by slowly, and Peter was anxious to talk to Ned. The brunette didn't get a chance to talk to him at lunch, mostly because Luna was sitting right next to him, so he had to wait all day until last period to do it. The Rick encounter was bugging Peter too much, and he had to figure out exactly what to do.

So, Peter practically ran for his life to get to English, wanting to get there before Luna would walk in since all the three of them shared the same class.

The boy walked in the classroom door, immediately spotting Ned sitting in his assigned seat. Peter didn't waste any time scurrying in his direction, wanting to make this conversation as quick as possible.

"I need your help." Peter spoke, sitting in the empty seat next to his friend.

Ned looked up from his phone, raising his eyebrow in curiosity. He could immediately see the desperation in Peter's eyes, so he knew the topic must've been serious.

"Huh?" The boy muttered.

Peter looked around, making sure that no one was listening. He took his backpack off his shoulders, unzipping it and pulling out a folded piece of paper.

"I was on patrol last night," Peter started to explain, unfolding the white sheet of paper in his hand. "and I saw this guy going through my backpack in the alley." He said, handing Ned the paper. It showed a printed picture of Rick with little handwritten notes jotted down by Peter.

"I had Karen scan his face." The boy said, watching Ned as he stared at the picture. "I've been up all night trying to figure out what he wants."

Ned tilted his head, slowly shrugging his shoulders. "He was probably just some homeless guy looking for money or something."

Peter sighed, shaking his head. "He wasn't looking for money." He replied. "Trust me."

"Why does it matter?"

Peter looked around once more for any potential listeners before biting his lip in thought. "Because I know him." He said.

Ned raised his eyebrows, becoming more confused by the second. "How?"
