Luna couldn't think straight.

Images of Rick just kept popping into her brain as she walked down the slippery sidewalks. The girl bit her lip to stop herself from crying, but it was already noticeable to everyone walking by.

It was the worst feeling knowing that Peter was hiding something from her, and the sad part was that he didn't even tell her the truth right on the spot. Luna saw it in his eyes, and all they told her were how much he didn't trust her enough to tell her what he's been up to.

Luna was still being kept in the dark, and she had absolutely no idea why Peter was involved in something like this.

Rick wasn't even around anymore, and Luna was already trying to move on, but seeing that file just made everything come rushing back.

Luna felt happy with how things were going, but now she knew that Peter was dealing with something that he didn't even tell her about. The last thing the brunette wanted to be involved with Rick again, and she hoped that Peter wasn't getting into anything dangerous.

She ignored the several phone calls from Peter as she continued her way down the street. There was no way Luna was able to talk to him without exploding, which was why she left in the first place.

The girl also didn't want to go home, so the only other option was the park.

Luna sat there for hours with her back against a tree trunk. She watched little kids run and play without having a care in the world. Luna envied those kids, mostly because she would give anything just to be that carefree again. But, she also felt bad for them because soon those little kids would realize that life is just going to get harder. There will be no more playing in the park or running around as fast as their feet could carry them.

Life had a way of making everything become worse.

Luna watched everyone come and go out of the park, indicating that the day was almost over. It was cold out, but the brunette didn't care one bit. She hugged her knees close to her chest, watching the sun slowly fade away as the moon started to take over.

Soon everyone was gone, and the teenager was left alone sitting against the tree.

"Hi there."

Luna sighed as she spotted Spider-Man walking up to her, his pace slow. It was almost if he knew the girl was in a bad mood and didn't want to be bothered. It had been a while since Luna has seen the masked vigilante, so she was somewhat glad that he decided to show up.

Luna stared at the hero's red and blue suit, offering a small smile.

"Hey."

The boy gestured towards the ground. "Mind if I sit?"

Luna nodded in response and moved over to make room as Spider-Man sat down next to her. He rested his elbows on his knees that were close to his chest.
