"You can't stand there and tell me you're worth nothing because you're worth everything to me."

Peter wanted to save her. He loved her with every inch and bone in his body and was willing to do everything in his power to help her not be afraid...

"I just have one simple rule," Mrs. Lockman announced. "No phones. You can either put your head down or just sit there. Your choice."
Luna stood outside the halls for the rest of her English class until finally making her way back in for after school detention. She knew she would never hear the end of it from her ridiculous teacher who, no doubt, didn't like the way the teenager stormed out of class. Luna Pearce was aware that she would have been in even more trouble if she didn't show up for detention, so she had no choice but to come. So, at least she came back.
Luna sat at the same desk she was always in, feeling like a complete mess. The redness in her cheeks have yet to fade away and her breathing was still a bit shaky.
It was 3:13, which meant that Luna was supposed to be walking through her front door in exactly 2 minutes, but no. She was still at school, preparing herself for what was to come when she would eventually go home later on. Luna accepted the fact that she would possibly face one of the biggest punishments she would ever encounter with Rick.
She was in for it.
Peter Parker sat not too far away from the girl. He figured that he shouldn't upset her more by deciding to sit next to her, so he kept his distance. However, he still couldn't help but be worried about her.
He occasionally glanced over at Luna only to find her looking more and more scared. She was afraid of something, and Peter was having a hard time figuring out exactly what.
Luna was right. Peter Parker didn't know her at all, yet he was trying to figure out what was going on with her. In a way, he doesn't have a say in what goes on in her life, but Peter knew that something was wrong and knew that it had to be fixed. He felt it in his gut, and he was usually right about these types of things, thanks to his spidey senses.
It wasn't hard to tell that Luna Pearce was going through a hard time. Peter was just the only one who truly cared enough to try and do something about it, and Luna didn't understand why. He didn't know her, and she didn't know him.
So why?
Peter Parker knew exactly why.
He cared about her. It was as simple as that. Luna didn't know it, but the boy had been longing any sort of relationship with her ever since she came to Midtown. She was quiet, she seemed nice, and she was just downright one of the prettiest girls Peter had ever seen. He couldn't believe his eyes when he first saw her walk into his English class for the first time.
Of course Luna was oblivious to the whole thing.
The girl secretly pulled her phone out of her pocket several times, checking to see if she had any messages from Rick who must've been itching to know where she was. There was nothing.
So she figured that he would just wait until she got in the apartment to take all his anger out on her. Classic Rick.
Rick took every chance he got to torment Luna. He enjoyed watching the girl become more and more miserable as time went on. He was an evil man, and he loved it.
