The young brunette spit crimson blood out of her mouth as she fell to the ground, groaning as she wiped her mouth off. The girl slowly looked up, seeing Rick's shadow stand over her. He was angry, and he made sure to teach her a lesson.

Luna expected this. She knew the moment she walked in the door that Rick would be right there waiting for her, and that's exactly what happened. Peter had walked her home, almost going all the way up to her apartment floor, but Luna was quick to beg him not to. Peter was skeptical, but decided not to push it, instead leaving her be and walking back to his own apartment.

Luna didn't know how long Rick was torturing her, but it felt like hours when in reality it had only been 10 minutes.

He swung on her, kicked her abdomen, and grabbed fistfuls of Luna's hair. All she was able to do was beg for him to stop, which never worked.

The girl was struggling on the floor as Rick knelt down to her level.

"I just don't get it." Rick taunted, grabbing Luna's face and forcing her to look at him. She winced against his touch, wanting to spit her mouthful of blood onto his face.

"You just keep disobeying the rules around here." He spoke. "I'm getting sick and tired of it."

Luna eyed him, squinting her eyes as his hot breath hit her face. He reeked of booze.

"I can-" She attempted to speak.

"I don't want to hear excuses." Rick hissed, his anger increasing by the second. "You're lucky I don't kill you."

Luna's eyes widened, her body shaking as the words slipped from his mouth.

Rick was a horrible person, always saying hurtful things to Luna and constantly abusing her. He didn't care about the terrible things he did. In fact, he enjoyed it. For the past year, he always looked forward to Luna returning home just so he can get the satisfaction of making her life hell. He waited for Luna's mother to leave for work in the afternoons, and drank alcohol for the remainder of the day as he sat on the couch. He was an abusive drunk, and he was proud to admit that.

"Who were you with?" He asked, forcefully pinning her to the wall.

Luna wanted to call for help, knowing that anyone next door was bound to hear, but she couldn't do that. Luna was scared, but she wasn't stupid. She knew she would be dead before anybody even arrived.

"Nobody." She whispered.

"Don't lie to me." Rick tightened his pressure on the girl, almost shoving her through the entire wall. "If you were by yourself, you would have came home a long time ago."

Luna didn't respond, her eyes watering as she stared at Rick.

She couldn't tell him she was with Peter. That would be the end for the teenage boy if he was ever seen talking to her outside of school. Rick would be infuriated knowing that the reason why Luna was acting out and being late was because of a guy. She wouldn't do that to Peter.
