Luna shut the locker with a deep sigh as she put her giant physics book in her bag. The crowded hallway was too much for the brunette to handle this early in the morning. Everyone seemed so cheery and alert as they walked with their own individual group of friends, and Luna couldn't understand how these people were this energized.
Luna was definitely not a morning person, and Peter always found it funny whenever he approached the girl by her locker. It was like walking up to a pissed off cheetah that was about to pounce on its prey at any moment.
The brunette had to force herself not to fall asleep right in the middle of the hallway.
"You look like you could use this."
Luna smiled as Peter leaned on the locker next to her, holding up a styrofoam coffee cup in his hand.
The girl reached over and took it, immediately bringing the cup to her lips and smelling a sweet scent of hazelnut.
"Thanks." Her voice was low.
"You okay?" Peter thought to ask.
The girl nodded. "Yeah, I'm just exhausted. I was studying all night because I'm so nervous for my physics exam."
"You'll be fine." Peter reassured her. "We've been studying almost everyday and you've already aced every single quiz before that. You're gonna do great."
Luna sighed. "Hopefully."
"Morning lovebirds."
Aubrey walked up with her books in hand along with Ned. The redhead was dressed in her usual attire consisting of a black pencil skirt and laced white top. Her hair was done in loose curls with one side pinned up. Her appearance didn't fail to attract the attention of all the students walking up and down the large hallway.
"Hey." Luna replied.
"Oooh coffee." Aubrey spotted the drink Luna that was holding, reaching over and gently taking the cup. "May I?" She asked before taking a sip.
"Actually-"
The brunette wasn't able to say another word as Aubrey took a big swig from the hot cup.
Luna sighed, biting her lip as she watched the redhead drink the coffee that her boyfriend got her. Peter held in a chuckle, and Luna annoyingly nudged him to be quiet.
"Whew," Aubrey exhaled deeply as she handed the drink back to Luna. "I really needed that."
"Oh no," Ned suddenly spoke as his attention was focused behind Peter and Luna.
"What?" Peter asked as he turned his head.
The boy saw Flash Thompson walking towards the group with a smug look on his face. Peter clenched his teeth, turning back around and sighing as he looked down.
