It wasn't unusual for Luna to avoid her boyfriend after she became overwhelmed with Peter's secretiveness, mostly because it was something the boy was already expecting her to do. She was still struggling to fully open up to him, so it was inevitable for her to start dodging him at all times after she found the file.
But it still didn't mean that it didn't hurt him.
Peter was frustrated with himself for not just telling Luna the truth, but that was easier said than done. He couldn't spring all this Spider-Man information on her without everything blowing out of proportion. It wasn't worth it to Peter to lose her over that.
All the boy did these past two days was call and text her a repeated amount of times, but he was disappointed every time when he was sent to voicemail or when she didn't reply to his messages.
It took everything in Peter to not go over Luna's apartment and see her, but after a long debate in his head, he came to terms with the fact that it probably wasn't the best idea. She needed to cool off, and the boy respected her enough to leave her alone for the entire weekend.
It was Sunday, which meant that Peter would finally get to see his girlfriend at school the next day.
He wanted to explain as much as he could to her without giving too much away.
Two days had passed, and Luna found herself missing Peter.
She thought about him all weekend, and she felt guilty for ignoring him especially when she knew it was driving him crazy.
One thing Peter always did was try and get Luna to trust him, and the girl felt like she was betraying what he worked so hard for.
Luna didn't mean to completely shut him out for the past couple days, but it sort of just happened. The girl found herself getting into a depressive mental state again, and she needed to calm down before talking to Peter again.
It might've been dramatic, but Luna honestly felt that seeing Rick's face again through pictures messed with her mind. Luna started to feel sad again, and she didn't know how to make it better again without Peter telling her what was going on.
Luna took this weekend to distract herself from any sort of mental breakdowns that she was scared of getting.
It was pretty sad, but it was the truth.
She agreed to go with Aubrey to get her nails done even though she didn't want to, and the girl even hung out with MJ when Luna suggested to go to the same bookstore Peter took her to.
MJ knew that something was wrong with how Luna presented herself. She was an observant person, so it was easy for her to tell that Luna was having a hard time with whatever she was struggling with.
And now, Luna was at the library attempting to finish the homework she didn't do over the weekend.
She'd been going at it for 3 hours now, and the girl took advantage of being here for as long as possible up until the library closes, mostly because Luna still hated being at home.
