"You can't stand there and tell me you're worth nothing because you're worth everything to me."

Everything was getting better.
Things were finally looking up, and it was only improving. It was hard for Luna to rid the wide smile on her face ever since her and Peter had shared a moment that neither of them would be able to forget. After all this time, Luna was glad to know that she would only be getting happier and more at peace as time went by.
It had been a couple days since Aubrey's party, and it was a brand new week. Luna wasn't scared one bit as she walked into school that morning, only because she no longer cared what people thought of her. It was almost as if a light had been switched, because now Luna held this new confidence that no one had seen in a very long time. Of course, the girl still had a long way to go, but she was ecstatic to know that she no longer had anything to worry about.
Kissing Peter Parker was a wake up call for Luna. The boy let her know that no one else could compare to her, and that she shouldn't care what Aubrey's friends said when they were tormenting her. If Peter could overcome the constant bullying, then she could too.
It was crazy really, mostly because Luna was so close to stomping out of Aubrey's party a crying mess, but it had completely turned around for the better.
It was clear that Luna Pearce and Peter Parker were infatuated with each other, and now it was confirmed to the both of them. There was no more hiding away their feelings or ignoring it and hoping it would go away. Now, it was only pure love and bliss.
After everything that went on that night, Peter had decided to take Luna home instead of going back inside where everyone was. Ned and MJ tagged along as the four of them took the train back home. Ned wouldn't shut up about how excited he was when Peter told him what had happened. Things weren't even awkward between the Peter and Luna throughout the remainder of the night, mostly because there was no need to be. This was what they both wanted, and they were completely happy with it.
At least that's how Peter felt when he was practically bouncing on his feet the entire way to his locker. He was happy, to say the least, and it was pretty damn obvious.
Him and Luna had been texting all weekend, and Peter was constantly reminding her how amazing she was, only making Luna more content with his sweet words.
Peter was shoving books into his backpack as he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and was met with a smiling Ned.
"Hey man."
Peter nodded, smiling in return. "Hey."
"How was your weekend?" Ned asked him. "Spend any time with Luna?"
The boy shook his head, closing his locker and fully turning around. "No, but we were texting. She was busy with homework and I had Spider-Man stuff to do."
Ned nodded understandingly. "Patrol?"
Peter shrugged, throwing his backpack over his shoulders. "That and just going to the tower so Mr. Stark could go over the new upgrades on my suit."
